Charles de Nervaux has got a myrrh scent @Nollie. Not among the strongest but was decent enough. It already has blackspot. But put out few new basals and looks promising.

Looks like Penelope Lively has been a hit here..

I’d prefer it if my LoS didn’t go pink WAMS!

Thanks @cooldoc, I expect some BS and the rest sounds promising. Hopefully your Rosomane will develop it’s fragrance at some point but most breeders seem prone to exaggeration in that department.

This guy has reviews of other generosas I’m interested in, but the effusiveness and anti-DA stance makes you wonder how genuine they are..

Oh that Dirk is hilarious... he has a whole Facebook group where he slags off DA to his adoring handmaidens. He and happy clappy chappy Ben Hamilton are two sides of the same coin really...

Thank you oh facebook truth-seeker, WAMS. My cynicism is justified then. His reviews do read like fully paid-up puffery on the one hand and a serious dose of vendetta on the other 😆

@cooldoc Interesting to see your Wellbeing & E. Vye, neither of mine have done much this year yet. My garden is East/SE facing but until the end of last year it was very over hung with tall trees from the previous owners (that we thinned out). I think my roses think that they are still struggling for light, and their flowering season is 'off'! No flowers at all for me on EV yet. I had three buds that went brown and I picked off. Quite heathy though.

Thats one way to make them flower @crighton03 or plant Gabriel Oak next to her and see...😁

Jokes apart.. mine is in her 3rd year.. did drop off the buds (even Poets wife, Gabriel Oak and few others did that).. now that I do not have time to spray or feed.. they all have new buds and better than how they were in may-june season.. so definitely its not being pot bound.. over feeding vs weather is what I concluded as culprits...
