Eufemia is gorgeous, @Tack. Yes, Fragrant Plum is upright and self-supporting, despite the large blooms (thank goodness... PAoK and Jubilee Celeberation alone have hogged all my stakes). I hope to get another one next year to plant beside it. And I meant to say your border upthread was a lovely sea of colour.
It's been a long, long week, hasn't it? Have a lovely weekend, all
@Alfie_ Glad you got your roses ok, they all look good.. I get that chlorosis on some of mine as I'm very alkaline here and my hose water is very hard, it soon turns the leaves chlorotic if I don't put an iron solution in the mix.. as Jessica said..
Re 'Bienvenue'.. so far so good, almost too good to be true... it seems rain resistant, disease resistant and heat resistant - such as we have it here.. it also appears to be continuous with flowering, new shoots appear quickly with buds.. and last but not least, a delicious scent..
It has also helped to reduce my deadheading task this weekend . The first flush is definitely over here . Status - Maria Lisa was underwhelming this year - and absolutely brilliant capable to deal with the sun and the heath on the hottest spot of my front border .. Walferdange .
Does anyone recognise this Austin rose? Lovely strong sweet fragrance but of what I cannot say as I'm hopeless at identifying scents...
Just wondering how big it was across? Pretty Jessica is only a couple of inches across (2.5 max) but the gorgeous fragrance is very Gertrude Jekyll. I thought of your post immediately when it opened fully yesterday, @owd potter
Amazing Day has gone a bit weird again mid-season... and it's not even that hot.
I'm in need of some help, u known condition/ disease has now spread to multiple roses in the garden. I have over a dozen now showing the effect. It first it was two potted modern roses, but now affecting roses in borders too. It looks like mosaic although it is incredibly rare in the UK...any thoughts would be appreciated
I was at my local GC the other day @Jason-3 looking to buy a rose, but I couldn't help noticing almost their entire stock of roses were exactly like the leaves in the top image. When I asked one of the gardeners there what it was, he said he didn't know. Needless to say I didn't buy any.
