Frustrating, then, not to have a positive ID Marlorena, but you have stumbled on a beauty nevertheless. I’ve upgraded ‘Not Crépuscule’ to ‘Maybe Crépuscule’ but either way, blooms are small and spoil in rain so it may not be a keeper.
You’re safe @Lizzie27, AA is only available in the EU at present!
Mountainous Northern Catalunya, Spain. Hot summers, cold winters.
I am also a fan of that Avalanche Abricot, @Nollie. Wonder if it will be available in the UK soon.
Is anyone else in the UK finding it difficult to source JI #3? I have roses stuck waiting to pot up as I can only go up to JI #2 as nowhere around my area can restock it, and it's been this way for some time.
You don't have to use JI no .3.. no. 2 is perfectly fine, I've often used it.. you can even utilise your own garden soil if it's in good condition, just add some fert. to it, and drainage material, grit etc.. with some MPC if handy..
Another alternative is Top Soil in bags.. I get some from Wickes sometimes.. just add fert. to that as above..
I've not noticed any problems in obtaining JI 3 though, not around here..
Few pics from today. Golden Beauty just coming out with plenty more to come. More of my favourite double delight. A couple of dhalia that I just had to photo.
@WAMS just 2 from dickson on pre order (Usha ki Kiran and a fond farewell) so far.... im trying to be good, honest! i will probably pick up a new styles though once they are all launched, theres space out front and ive pulled out a huge scruffy shrub in the purple- peach bed. I rather liked that Brendas beauty too.
My excitement today, my best friend (fellow rose lover) messaged to say she was at Alnwick gardens and sent me some lovely pics of the rose gardens there... Austin named a rose after it but its discontinued... I asked her to have a look on the off chance they had any old stock and look what she got me! Its going in the front I think, by Queen of Sweden, who is doing quite well out there.

Foul weather here, everythings soaked and blackspot covered (except its a wonderful life...)

I really like some of the new Styles ones- they are adding 43 (!) new ones to the catalogue. Brenda's Beauty looks good I thought. https://styleroses.co.uk/shop/brendas-beauty/
Evelyn's Rose (pale scented climber) and Nicola look lovely, too (is it possible to have enough lilac roses?)

@Marlorena such disciplined downsizing.
