Lovely roses everyone. 🌹🌹 Thanks for posting those delightful pictures. I start my day looking at those pictures, before I look at the news. Can someone share with me how you use diluted milk to tackle powdery mildew in roses? TIA. I know I have been lax at watering some of my potted roses, but I am gutted seeing mildewed leaves on my MW. I just cannot afford to lose it.
@Oliya I could get a sweet fragrance on Louise Clements flower today morning. I'll smell again in the evening when I'm back from work and report. It was definitely not that intense fragrance as said in its ad.
Oxford. The City of Dreaming Spires.
And then my heart with pleasure fills,
And dances with the daffodils (roses). Taking a bit of liberty with Wordsworth
Eustace. I just put my usual milk which is semi-skimmed in a small spray bottle at 4 parts milk to 6 parts water ish and drench the plant. I read somewhere that sun and milk together is good so that's what I do. I am convinced it works but I repeat if I see a furry patch again so that is often at first (every2-3 days ish). You do get dried milk on some of the leaves which looks white but can be peeled of when dry or goes with rain. I had/have several potted roses with it including MW but I never neglected the watering so don't blame yourself.
A newly opened one today Love Knot, supposedly a patio climber, its not, at least not yet. If it doesn't get much bigger I will have to move it. And yes most of my roses are suffering from black spot, except Blue for You. 😁 This is the first year my Whisteria has put on a good show.
We had fiercely torrential rain last night and more just now, so everything out there is being battered. Before that, a biblical swarm of locust proportions. Only pollen beetles but every rose is festooned with munching black beasties, fighting their way into all the new buds as well. As if the sawfly invasion before that weren’t enough. Just as well I got a good display earlier.
I watched that Ben wotsitsface’s video on youtube on Dannahue out of boredom. It was hilarious! I know he is being paid in kind to advertise, but he was so OTT anyone not completely gullible would be put off watching that.
Mountainous Northern Catalunya, Spain. Hot summers, cold winters.

Oh Christ, thank God, Nollie. I thought it was just me.😅
I have screenshotted roses / garden vistas from every single poster today for inspiration / future spending sprees. Thank you everyone. 🌹 Lizzie, I had no idea that that persica rose could look so pretty and turn so many colours.

He seems high as kite. I wonder what he's been smoking.
