I've had a busy afternoon. NDN on the other side and I went to have a clean up in NDN's cottage. It was badly needed. I disinfected and shampooed the carpet where she fell and we've stripped the bed and I've washed all the bedding. I'm now a contact for the hospital. I had a chat with the granddaughter but she has a young family and doesn't live near, she is quite concerned though.

    Evening.

Slightly disrupted afternoon as a plumbing issue at MIL’s. Why do these things always happen on a Sunday 4pm so no DIY shops open?

You are a very kind neighbour @Busy-Lizzie

Evening everyone.  Hope all mums had a good day.  Secondborn came over this morning for a cuppa and a scone.  She bought me a lovely book on the RHS Gardens.  This afternoon we went over to Firstborns for a roast cooked by her Hubby.  Lots of cuddles with granddaughters even though they are 15 and 10.  They have promised they will never be too old.  Firstborn had bought me a box of Thorntons and a voucher for the local garden centre. All in all a lovely day.

Have a good trip @Hostafan1 and really enjoy lots of cuddles with your grandson.

We had a lovely dinner out in a pub last night with family to celebrate my son's 50th, followed by a lazy brunch this morning (fried egg and sausage rolls and then crepes with fresh fruit cooked by my granddaughter). it was so good to see my daughter again as well and we all enjoyed a brisk walk along Bournemouth beach front. My  nearly 12 year old granddaughter is now as tall as me!

I agree, you are a very caring neighbour @Busy-Lizzie

the highlight of my day was a customer giving me a big chunk of Astantia she's just split and 2 small dierama plants.

Generous customer, dierama are lovely plants. I've got a big clump on a raised bank/bed so that the flowers sway/hang over the edge. Marvellous.
