Thanks @Lizzie27 … lovey day for a drive through pretty west Suffolk … a lovely meal with son … lots of chat … and a lovely drive home in the sunset … now flollopped on the sofa with a very delicious rhubarb & ginger gin (present from son).
Have a good evening all

Exhausted here, out the last 3 nights, hen do, retirement party and finally wedding yesterday. Even booked in for the cinema tomorrow, English spoken film, Brad Pitt, not often that happens around here.
Mini crisis this morning at CdeG, waitress and daughter (commis chef) both phoned in with gastro issues, restaurant fully booked for lunch... A lot of scratching around for cover, all went well in the end, but a few hairy moments.
Certainly enjoying a glass of red this evening to unwind.
Good wishes to all,
Another day, another dollar ....as they say.

I wish I had your energy BuzyL. My garden is full of weeds but I can’t get out there to clean it up. I’m hoping that my body will catch up with my wishes soon. 😒
1C here apparently … not been out there to check! I’ve woken early for some reason and am wide awake so have tiptoed down and made myself a coffee ☕️ Kettle’s still hot if anyone else wants one …?

Morning all. It looks as blues skies here today 🥳 not too cold either! Yesterday I managed to do a little pruning to the viburnum and today given the weather I might tackle some chickweed. Some might even go in the salad. I just have to keep the garden work very short, maybe an alarm on the phone, otherwise my back will take revenge.
I was looking at Jeoff Hamilton's book on cottage gardens where his instruction to build a rose arch is to add a fenial, not just for looks, but to stop the devil from sitting on the arch! I didn't know about this bit of folklore.
