Morning all. What a lovely picture Ante first thing on a morning. Signs of spring. I can't wait to watch GW tonight either.
LB, not a pleasant job your friend has, but with you at her side, the burden will be lightened. it can be very distressing.
Im joining( next week) all those having a hair cut,as I've had to cancel my last appointment so it's getting too long for me now.
My cousin's ,( in Australia) daughter has just had a little baby girl. I'm not sure what that makes me to her, relationship wise.
I hadn't heard back from anyone at GP's yesterday,so went down and delivered my prepared letter for the Doctor. Later in the day, the lady I saw first, had a text sent saying she would ring me today to discuss the blood tests results. Not the doctor.

    Afties all.

Had a telephone call from GP surgery this morning, success. I've been offered ( and accepted) a long term course of steroids at a much lower dosage after the lady I  spoke to the other day had had a conversation with Doctor. Had a long talk with her about the referral letter....that has been changed to an urgent referral and treatment offered.
Im very pleased but I shouldn't have had to go through all this in the first place, but, heigh-ho,it's  sorted for now.

Hope you've all had a decent day. I'm going to sign out as pretty tired. Have a nice evening.

Good afternoon all. Well it was such a beautiful morning today so it made the scattering of the ashes a very peaceful and cathartic experience. Part of the crematorium grounds have been planted up with alder trees - appropriate as the ground is extremely boggy. In Irish legend the first man was made from alder and it has strong symbolism including strength, protection determination and confidence.
Each tree has a numbered tag and Bestie had chosen 11 - the month of his birth. People can go back and plant bulbs near to the trees as the grounds people leave an uncut wide circle around each trunk. Such a nice idea. We will plant snowdrops and mini daffs later.
Shortly after we left the crem. the rain started and it has persisted down ever since.
Hope all the haircuts went well and that people are happy with their new locks. (I know yours is next week Hazel!)
T'Bird, your MIL will be so happy to see you and it must make a nice break before you cross the border. Meal sounds lush!
Hazel, it is so nice to hear about another tiny person joining the world. I get very confused about relationships once I get beyond cousins and once it get to the once and twice removed my brain explodes! Glad that the unpleasantness about your medication and referrals has been sorted out too and I have to agree - you should not have had to deal with all of that. You might get a nicer sleep later on tonight.
p.s. meant to add that I love the picture Debs!

Good news @Songbird-2, but as you say, you shouldn’t have had to go through all that upset beforehand.

Thank goodness for that, Hazel. I hope it all goes to plan and helps your pain. If she is your first cousin then her baby is your first cousin once removed. Removed is a different generation.

I'm glad it went well at the crem LB. It sounds a good one.

I'm pleased with my haircut. My favourite girl did the back really nicely and we had a good chat. I stopped at the GC on the way home and bought some botanical tulips in bud on offer and some Gold Lace primulas.

Afternoon - we've had some good rain today. Didn't stop in time for me to get out and mulch but I will try to do some tomorrow after I've packed the van.

LB - good to hear the scattering went well and the planting of bulbs is a lovely idea.

Hazel - congratulations on both fronts. The arrival of a new baby (who I think is your first cousin, twice removed) is always joyous.
Success with the doctor's is equally good news, but what a shame you've been put through all that stress. It makes you wonder how other less able people are ever supposed to navigate 'the system'. I still find it concerning that all this has been dealt with via a pharmacist and not your GP. Anyway, fingers crossed your condition is brought back under control and is properly managed in the future.

You snuckered in there T'Bird. Fingers crossed you can get the mulch on before departing. That should help 'lock' in the rain you have had.
