Hague popped back in to say a massive thank you for all your help and support. Sometimes I do feel as if I am a dinosaur these days expecting things to behave as they always have and not getting along either new ways too well. But K have been adapting , I thought, quite well until this palaver either docs.
I concurTopbird, I am still aghast this has all been dealt with by a clinical pharmacist but I’m thankful for small mercies at this stage.
Thanks again you wonderful people.
LB I’m so sorry, it had slipped my mind about you going with bestie to scatter the ashes of her friend. That will have been a difficult moment for her. When my mum saw my dads ashes I the box , she fell apart. Couldn’t cope with it. I hope your friend finds the peace she deserves…. And you too for being such a lovely friend.
A very good morning to you all. I have been witnessing a lot of nesting behaviour going on in my neighbour's front garden. Collared doves going into one of their conifers and wood pigeons into another. I've a pair of blackbirds in my front garden establishing a territory and all activities are showing that Spring is on its way. I do love this time of year but I wish it would stop raining!
Safe journey to T'Bird and her OH. I'm not sure if its today or tomorrow you are starting your travels but looking forward to travel tales.
Cacoethes: An irresistible urge to do something inadvisable
Good morning all. @Songbird-2 glad you are feeling happier about the treatment and medication you are now on. Well done you for sorting it out.
@Ladybird4 what a lovely idea to scatter ashes under a tree. Your friend will appreciate your help and support.
Feeling a bit down as just heard that a close friends youngest son is a drug addict who nearly died from an overdose last weekend. She has kept this from people for over a year but can’t cope any more. These are “recreational drugs” but he is massively over using them and has severe mental health issues so incredibly difficult for her. Have sent a little care package, flowers chocolates and scented candle but there is so little I can do. Unfortunately resources are virtually impossible to find that will offer her help. She may have to sell her house to pay for rehabilitation for him.
Raining here but hoping to get out in the garden at some point because I really need that boost to my mood that being out there gives me, nothing like it is there?
Good morning Debs. I was saddened and horrified to hear about your friend and her son. Just the fact that you are there as a friend and a good listener will give her some strength and support. Do you know if she has seen her Doctor to bring this to his/her attention as this would be a first point of call to discuss what help may be available?
Cacoethes: An irresistible urge to do something inadvisable
@Ladybird4 he spent the weekend in hospital and is now at his father’s home ( they are divorced) but she has been told there are no beds for teenage drug addicts anywhere in the country at the moment and no NHS facilities for rehabilitation. If he overdoses again he will be treated and then sent home. I completely understand that the nhs is so over stretched at the moment and many would say this is a self inflicted illness but she is desperate. I am afraid mental illness is at the back of a long queue when it comes to getting help. A truly horrible situation.
Debs, I am so so sorry. What a dreadful situation to be in. All one can do is to be there as a shoulder to cry on, an ear to listen and a comforter. My thoughts are with everyone involved.

Good morning everyone.Hazel it’s good to read that you have been prescribed some of your medication. I hope your hospital appointment will be helpful. Debs that is a dreadful situation that your friend is in . I hope your friends son gets the help he needs .LB there is nesting activity in our garden too. Very distracting when I should be getting on with something else .
That is so sad @debs64 I hope your friend doesn't have to sell her house.
I didn't have a very good night. Think I was too hot, no heating on in the bedroom but it was 20C. Mild and wet outside. I wanted to take OH for a short walk today down the lane by the village pond but he doesn't want to go out until it's dry underfoot in case it's slippery.
I have some plants to plant too but more rain is forecast.
Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.
