Hello there birthday girl! I am busy getting all my cacti and succulents watered after months of dryness - I call today Wake up Wednesday. I needed to get more rain water out of the water butt to come to room temperature as I didn't realise how much I needed for all my plants. I need to do a count really as I am rapidly running out of space on my window sills and I need to shuffle them all around and put similar plants together.

Yes, the swollen finger is all part and parcel of the rheumatism, blooming nuisance. I've found if I tape it up though with the next finger, it keeps it still and so doesn't hurt so much. But having only three digits to work with is somewhat challenging at times🙄
Raining here again now, it's horribly cold. but Busy's lovely vase  of daffs has cheered me up👍
Have been on the phone to mum this morning, she's as strong as a butchers dog, at 102, she's in better health than me. I said to her that we should switch ages, she should be feeling in ill health at her age but she's in such rude health it beggars belief.

Did I mention  that I found our wedding day scroll last week? Oh joy! It was in a drawer which we had both looked in and not seen. We were over the moon.

Oh Hazel, that is just the best news as I know you were saddened thinking it may have been in the missing box. That is such cheery news about your Mum too - 'Go Hazel's Mum Go' Clapping Hands Medium Skin Tone on Noto Color Emoji Animated. Yes its cold and rainy here too and no signs yet of this delivery for next door. Ho hum.
p.s. just had a text to say that they have had an email saying that the delivery will be between 13:45 and 15:45. At least that narrows it down a little.

OH was in pain again in the night, Rubee, but settled down after another spoon of morphine. The hospital rang to see how he was and told me I could remove his support stockings. I was wondering when I could wash them!

Your Mum sounds amazing, Hazel! I was trying to get a daffodil or spring birthday card sent on my phone to Rubee. Never done it before on my phone, usually do it on the laptop, but phone and I were upstairs with OH and laptop was downstairs in the dining room. It worked, glad you liked the daffodils. They are one of my favourite flowers, means everything is coming back to life after the winter.

    1. Busy, I think it's only to be expected that OH will feel some pain for a few more days yet so he's doing really well at home. As long as the morphine is working he will manage with that until the healing is done. Oh those stockings are a nightmare, it's such a relief to get them off ! Daffs are one of my favourite flowers too.I love them.
OH has been up in the loft sorting out what we still have and having a bit of a tidy up and chuck out.  I stood at the bottom of the ladder but my legs went wobbly for a while so had to head downstairs for a cuppa and stop myself feeling woozy. We found we'd kept a ( soft) toy snake our son had from when he was about 8 yrs old, wait til he sees that! I wonder what 23 will make of it🤭 Also an old soft toy Zippy soft toy😲

    Afternoon all,
Happy Birthday Rubee hope you have had a good day.  I've had lots of Nanna duty this week despite it being half term and have been doing lots of running around to therapists and doctors appointments with Hubby. I've not had any time for gardening.  My seeds arrived today from Chilterns so I can plan what and when to sow even though it's too cold to be out there.
Have been cheering up Bestie as her cat has had to be put down.  She lives alone and has had her as company for 17 years so it's been quite sad.
Hugs for those that need them.

Yvie, busy times for you as per usual, I'd be pooped. Such a shame about your friends cat. They are sadly so missed when they're gone, perhaps, in time, she may think about getting a new companion. Early days yet.
Hi @star gaze lily, hope you're doing okay. Days are getting longer but we just need the warmer weather to arrive and it will be lovely too get outside and bask in the sun.
Im shattered tonight, the house has been a tip  this afternoon whilst we've cleared stuff out of the loft. I've just finished finding homes for most things, in the main house( don't want stuff up in the loft now.) and I must say I feel better for clearing the decks. It's overpowering at times. At least  we now know where everything is in this house, just four years after moving in🤭😬
Signing out for tonight, Hope LB took charge of her neighbours delivery okay. Have a nice evening everyone.
