That’s good news Pauline . It will make a big difference to  you as Busy said . I hope all goes well with your OH pre op assessment Busy. Big Lad I hope you don’t suffer too much after such a long walk.LB ,how things have changed ,there was a time when a patient would have been in bed for at least a week .It must be really beneficial to be walking as soon as possible .

@Busy-Lizzie - fingers crossed the pre-op assessment is straightforward and your OH gets a confirmed date. I think I mentioned that my friend was required to Covid-isolate for a week before her hip op last month. A bit tedious but so worth it to get it done. Be interesting to hear if your OH has to do the same.

Hope all goes well for you too Pauline.

How is your OH getting on Rubee? Is he any more comfortable at the moment?

All good wishes to Pauline and Busy's OH this morning.
Busy my friend in hospital was walking up a 12 step flight of stairs yesterday which she coped with well and is going home today. She is really looking foward to that now.
Going to my Bestie's today having missed out last week because of my eyes. I made a tea loaf to take and then blow me down didn't I just see Rick Stein making one on his TV programme. He even echoed my thoughts about liking tea loaf because of the lack of any fat in it (don't mentioned the carbs!). Not sure what we will be getting up to but we'll have a good natter.

    Morning all,

Just seeing on the news that British Gas owner, Centrica, has made £2.8 billion. Along with the mind-boggling profits from the likes of Shell, etc., it makes me ashamed to be part of the human race. Extracting every last penny out of customers they seem to hold in contempt, whilst claiming to have net zero targets and spending loads on being sustainable, etc. All sounds like hogwash to me. A transparent smokescreen attempting to hide the disgusting greed of a small minority.

Weather is grim this morning. Like my mood!
