Good morning Ante and thank you. I can 'sense' the relief in your post now that it is Friday again Have a good day and keep thinking about seed sowing.
Cacoethes: An irresistible urge to do something inadvisable
Good morning all. Work has been busy but not too bad and I am looking forward to a weekend in the garden. I will try to be kind today goodness knows the world needs it at the moment.
Good morning Debs. I will have a sneak visit to the GC which is on the way to the restuarant today. Just for a browse! I do need a bag of orchid compost though (good excuse!). Hope you have a good day.

Good morning everyone .LB i do remember the occasion you speak of . I hope that today is time to think of the good times you all had together .I agree with Ante LB you deserve a huge star . Ante I hope you enjoy your weekend .I won’t be in the garden much today the wind is very high . Debs enjoy your weekend. They are so precious to those who go out to work.
Busy that’s lovely.Turkey is in such a desperate situation .Words fail me when I see the devastation and desperation of those poor people.Take care folks .
I think I might need some orchid compost soon too @Ladybird4. There's an article on keeping them in the GW march magazine. Eldest's specimen appears to be on the verge of flowering. Some feed and clips are on the shopping list as well.
I try and do tiny good deeds on a regular basis. Getting stuff off the top shelf at the SM for non-giants seems to be a regular one at the moment!
Morning all. Wild here too, very gusty winds, kept us awake in the night.
My shoulder pain was the beginning of another flare up of Palindromic Rheumatism, second time this winter. Hot spots of awful pain all over, however on steroids now ( snap LB! How are your eyes doing?) and things, thankfully, beginning to ease.
Ante, I was shocked to read you'd had that earthquake so close to home but so pleased to read you and everyone else were safe.
Busy, really glad your OH made it through his assessment day, phew!
OH has just popped out to get two new tyres put on the car. We keep getting a slow puncture in front left tyre, reason not known so OH thinks it may have something to do with the valve. Anyway, tyres wearing and car is due its MOT next week so getting them replaced to be on the safe side.
I think you're all in a secret Diminutive Society with a network of spotters waiting for me to arrive at the SM, @Ladybird4
Just done a quick recycling bins run and lap of the garden. Quite a bit of stuff blowing around next door but, so far, all my pots are secure. Probably because they've rooted into the ground below, in most cases!!! The repairs to the shed are also intact so, hopefully, less/no water is getting in there now.
Good to see a couple of things that I thought may be dead showing signs of life. Even a couple of the sad hellebores are cheering up.
Chaps like you are worth their weight Biglad😁. I regularly have to lie in wait in the cereal aisle as OH's favourite breakfast cereal is always on the top shelf with the front 4 or 5 packets already taken. Drives me crazy!
Glad to hear the pain is easing for you Hazel. Doesn't sound very nice at all.
LB - enjoy your lunch.
OH is still doing the night training for some pilots 60 miles away. It means he needs feeding at lunchtime which doesn't suit me at all. First because I have to waste time in the morning getting food ready for that time and second because eating at lunchtime doesn't bode well for afternoon gardening for me.
I've made a sweet and sour chicken today so he can sort himself out at the right time for him and I can have mine tonight. We've nearly exhausted the range of similar meals in terms of casseroles, curry and pasta dishes. Just a tagine left in the repertoire so that might have to do for next week. Any meat and 2 veg type meal really doesn't work.
Heaven is ... sitting in the garden with a G&T and a cat while watching the sun go down

Enjoy your lunch LB, despite being bittersweet.
No, I'm not up yet! Having coffee in bed 🙂
I will make a cake today, spiced apple and fruit, for the church coffee morning tomorrow in aid of Turkey.

It's wild here
