    Morning all

My great uncle (never knew him) was temporary manager of Man Utd during the war and then club secretary. He was one of the team members killed in the Munich Air Disaster in 1958. My grandfather always supported Man Utd after that and (because I loved my grandpa so much) I grew up supporting them as well.

Don't think much of the modern day shenanigans but I still have a soft spot for them. So if I had a few million quid to lose I could be tempted...

    Morning all,

Very breezy but fine here. Quick lap revealed (suspected) feline trampling damage to some bulbs. I've put in some protection so the ignorant moggies can go round them instead.

Maybe if I introduced a small charge for accessing high-level groceries, I'd have enough to put in a bid @Ladybird4. As long as Sheikh Ya Money doesn't take over :o

Right - off to the SM to find some un-tall folk in need of extra reach :D

    Morning all,
Rather grey here today and breezy, but not as strong a wind as yesterday, and somehow the rain is holding off for the moment.
Not a follower of football, so don’t know what’s been going on with Man U.
Careful with that bramble @debs64. Their thorns are lethal.
Hope you get on well with your jobs at the cottage @Ante1, but don’t overdo it.

Went back to bed and managed to get a couple of hours sleep, so now feel quite groggy with it! We're going to go out this morning to get a few things so hopefully the fresh air will liven me up.
Meant to say LB, the steroids are the only medication that actually ease this type of pain, no double whammy is effective unfortunately. Another few weeks should see it over .
I did an update on ipad last night, a lot of stuff has changed...don't know why I bother. I say I'm not going to do them anymore and then think..hmm  maybe I should to keep it updated and secure.
Hope everyone has a nice day.

Morning to all the later arrivals. I have been building window sill shelves and rearranging my cacti family. Following on from the little orange flowered cactus I have spotted several more cacti forming their flower buds now. I'll post pictures as soon as they open.
T'Bird, I remember my Dad talking of the Busby Babes and that horrendous disaster. Mum was a Newcastle United (The Magpies) fan all her life because of her roots I guess. I am not a fan of the round ball myself but I have found the buying of our Premier teams by foreigners terrible so I hope that mega rich Sir Jim manages to buy them from the Glazers.

Hi Hazel. Fingers crossed it doesn't take too long for the pain to become more intermittent or to fade away. Yes, you should always update, as they continue to look at installing security patches to protect your device. I find it happens with my Windows device and I get fed up as well as there are always subtle differences when I reboot.

I forgot to tell you that my friend got home from hospital yesterday. She is being very good and doing all her set exercises. She said that the staff were absolutely great and they had a right laugh. I hope to be able to go and see her soon. We'll see how things go.

That's good to hear LB. Hope your friend makes a good and speedy recovery and will soon be up and away. Also  hope Bush's  OH has a good experience too and all goes well.

    Hello all.

Loads of people came to the church coffee morning in aid of Turkey. I rushed around with trays serving people's orders. There were masses of yummy looking cakes. I took some slices home.

Such a wonderful thing to do Busy. I hope that lots of funds were raised.
