I'll always be able to find something to moan about @Ladybird4 :D Chances are the strong wind will remain and the rain will start just as I get my tools out of the car :o

    Morning all.

We have started watching The Gold but it appeals more to OH than me.

I must nip out to an SM this morning for some essentials. We didn't do a proper weekly shop last week.

This afternoon we have been invited to tea with a friend in our village. She wants us to meet a couple who bought a house here last month. They also have a home in France.

Good morning all. A few family issues put paid to my gardening plans yesterday but I did manage a walk with oldest daughter and granddaughter in the local woods where we spotted lots of deer. Feeling a bit”wrung out” this morning but  work beckons!
Hoping to go to a local garden centre tomorrow to stock up on compost etc for seed sowing.
Nice to see you @star gaze lily

Good afternoon all. Ruby I am in the process of dismantling a chest of drawers from the famous Swedish flat pack company.
@Biglad the drizzly stuff arrived almost on cue! No outdoor activity apart from planting out a clemmie - Sunset.
Debs, I'm sorry to read that you have had a bit of a stressful time - hope you managed to take it out on awkward customers - in the politest way of course.

  • Hello all, managed to get back on now after many attempts.  Very windy here.  A rather large tree collapsed on the neighbours property.  Roof still intact thankfully.  They’ve taken it down and it’s lying on the grass and the small area surrounding where the tree was has been cordoned off.  Shame, a lovely cherry tree which didn’t seem to have the deepest of roots and must have keeled over with the wind.  A new series of Endeavour starts Sunday evening.  Hello Lily sending good wishes to you and oh.  Hazel thank you for your msgs, you too LB as continued to read up even though couldn’t get on.  Topbird hope you really enjoyed your holiday.  Biglad too windy to garden.  LB sending you and Lily the warmest of wishes.  Ante I watched Poirot the other day, it’s on many times over hear.   Sending good wishes to everyone.  Debs hope you enjoy your eeekend.

How super to see you Rosie. I have just this minute sat down - I am beyond pooped - having dismantled and neatly stacked the bits of the chest of drawers in the garage. I am about to put on the kettle for a reviving cup of tea whilst debating a tip run or hiring a small skip as I have loads of 'stuff' I want to get rid of. A decision for another time! (plus I need to sound out handy brother!)
I, too, am looking forward to the final series of Endeavour Rosie but earlier than that - its TV Quiz night tonight - yay - and the second episode of Better. I enjoyed last week's. Now for my tea.

Didn't get too much wet stuff here @Ladybird4 and most of the park is sheltered by a tree canopy. I was up for it but I'd have been on my own. Never mind - maybe next week.

Went and found an actual branch of a bank that was open and paid in a cheque I received a few weeks ago. Felt like I'd travelled back to the good 'ol days ;)
