I know how you feel. When I had my bathroom done it was the same. One consolation for you, when it is all done you will be so pleased and you will forget the frustrations!

Good morning everyone .We have blue skies but it’s very cold . I have some London Pride that needs potting on .I hope you have a relaxing day too Ante .Ante it is so frustrating as LB says when you have workmen in the house .You will enjoy the results when you clean up after the work has been done.LB I hope you have a good gardening day .
  • Morning everyone, oops afternoon.
Found you all. Sorry haven't read back, so many pages to catch up on. But hope you are all well. Did notice your lovely blanket on the last thread though @Songbird-2 love the wool, looks very warm and cosy.
Can't believe we're on thread 122 already, one more and little 23 will 100!
Sorry for being AWOL for so long but, I'm looking after OH most of the time. And haven't much to say really.
Hope everyone is enjoying the beautiful sunny weather today. I should go out in the garden really, but it's still quite wet and I'm rather tired today. Perhaps during the week if this lovely weather lasts a few days.

    Afternoon everyone,
A bright, sunny and breezy day here, a bit chilly too, but so nice to have the sunshine.
I hope the workmen are all done and dusted (cleared and finished) by Wednesday @Ante1. It’s so frustrating when they start to drag their heals. As @Ladybird4 says, though, once it’s all finished and you’re all straight again, you’ll forget all the frustrations.
Popping out for some lunch soon at the nearby GC, so will probably come back with something to plant 😁😉.
    Enjoy your Sunday.

    Morning all.

I'm taking OH out for lunch today for his birthday, but his birthday is on Saturday and he will probably be in hospital, hopefully having had his hip replacement on Thursday. The restaurant is quite small and discreet with lovely food. OH is keeping away from places with lots of people, doesn't want to catch anything.

    Afternoon all.

@Topbird , the Amtech  U4350 Tungsten sharpening tool I ordered  from a recommendation of yours on another thread, has been delivered today. Really pleased with it and such a canny handy size, perfect. Thanks for mentioning it.

@star gaze lily , lovely to hear from you. Hope you and OH are alright? Thanks for kind comments about my latest knitted throw, it's lovely and warm on a coolish evening I must say.

@Ante1 ,soon be Wednesday so hang on in there. It'll be lovely when finished.

@Busy-Lizzie , have a nice lunch and hope your OH is back at home for his birthday , all sorted and will be able to thoroughly enjoy the freedom from pain and start his recovery. ( My birthday is this week too.......on same date as LB going back to eye specialist/doctor!).

Have managed to do a few jobs, gently, this morning but am beginning to " seize up" now ,with new found pains in the neck (🙄) so have found a Poirot on the TV which I am going  to watch now and have a rest.

Hello all.  I went into town yesterday with OH.  It was the rhubarb festival......I couldn't have done that last weekend !
I have done nothing today apart form being on coffee making duties while OH made a superb chicken and bacon pasta bake for dinner today, with enough for tomorrow.

I've been watching Poirot too @Songbird-2 Haven't done much today, although I did pop to besties for a cuppa.  I've also recovered a couple of lamp shades that had faded in the conservatory.  Used my new glue gun and it worked a treat.

I see they have found the body of a woman near the site where Nicola Bulley disappeared.  No formal identification yet but from what they are saying it looks likely that it is her.

Oh wow what wonderful surprises! @star gaze lily and @Pauline 7!
So lovely to see you SGL. Just bobbing in now and again to touch base is so cheery for us. We totally understand where your priorities lie. Bet you have some duck pond and poppet tales!
Pauline, what a super time you must have had. Are you noticing the difference now? My rhubarb is only titchy at the moment so was the rhubarb at the festival 'forced'? Enjoy your yummy dinner.
Hazel, be gentle with yourself, enjoy Poirot and stay warm.
I got a pleasant surprise at 'sco today. I have a voucher for £4 off their clothing line as long as I spend £20. I decided to have a quick look and spotted a lightweight water resistant jacket that packs away into a little bag (provided) at £25, so decided to go for it as it will be so useful going away on holiday. 'sco are having a bargain month with anyone holding a loyalty card getting 25% extra off any clothing. When I got to the check out the lady told me I couldn't use my voucher as I hadn't spent enough. I have to 'fess up to being the world's worst at mental arithmetic so I queried what she was saying. Apparently the coat had been reduced to £15 but the ticket hadn't been altered so what with the 25% off on top of that I was delighted. What a bargain! Plus I still have a week left on the voucher if I want to get anything else.

Hi Yvie, you weren't there when I posted. That is such tragic news Yvie. If it turns out to be her then at least her family and friends will have closure on what must have been a harrowing month. It does however beg the question as to how this body was missed in the extensive searches that were carried out.
