    I'm glad for you @Pauline 7.

@Topbird, I know how that feels, hope I don't forget myself! But shouldn't after the long wait. It's a week today, 23rd Feb. Have to be at the hospital at 7am, horribly early. I'm usually still asleep. I had wondered about coming to see you after I'd dropped him off if it had been a more sensible time.

Good afternoon all. What a weird sort of a day. Raining through a very thick mist when I left to get to my Bestie's and it didn't really improve on that.
Pauline, delighted to hear your positive news. Hopethat you do get home tonight. My friend has not been released from hospital today as she had hoped. I had forgotten their obsession with making sure you have had a successful evacuation! Oh Pile of Poo on Noto Color Emoji Animated says I!
Ante, that was shocking news to read about the earthquake near you. The harrowing scenes and reports from Turkey and Syria are absolutely heartbreaking. Stay safe our good friend.
Red maple, I felt that earthquake too. I remember hearing the water in the tank in the loft sloshing around and being terrified it would spill and come through the ceilings. No longer have a water tank up there thanks to a combi boiler.
T'Bird, we tried hard but the news at the moment is so unutterably depressing that we made do with comforting teas and thick slices of tea loaf.
Busy great news and good prospects for your OH. 07:00! Thats not early. I've had my cereals and am on my second cuppa by then

BE there at 7am LB. That means getting up at 5.45am.  I'm not a morning person. I go to bed at 11.30pm. Get most done in the afternoon. Can't tell you what I did this afternoon or that chap with the tank will get me!

Busy After all these false starts it will be a small price to pay. I CAN understand how horrid that time must seem, as my Bestie is another 'non morning' person and she thinks I am weird getting up at 06:00 every morning. Jack also keeps telling me that there is only one six o'clock in the day and that is late afternoon. I do not know why I wake so early - always have done. In all my working life I never needed an alarm clock.

Evening all. I spent few hours with my neighbors chatting and drinking "coffee". I still have workers in the house. Everything should be over till Sunday. It's time for tv and rest a bit.

Good morning all. I heard on the radio this morning that today is random acts of kindness day. Having communicating with many here on the forum, for years now, I think I can say that everyone here deserves a star for their kindnesses. It doesn't have to be major - just a little word of encouragement or consolation is all it needs and I have been a recipient of many of these so I'd just like to say 'Thank you!'

Today I am meeting with my squash team for our first lunch together since Covid and it will be a bitter sweet affair as we are going to celebrate our friend who passed away 2 years ago. Some may remember us gathering along the roadside with our rackets raised in salute as her cortège passed by. That time has flown by.

Good morning LB and all to follow.

LB, have a nice lunch with your squash team. That was lovely thing to do for your late friend. Thank you for remanding us about random act of kindness day, you also deserve huge star.

Grey and very warm morning. I don't have first class, but I'm in the school. It's Friday, and believe me, I'm so happy about that. During the winter I get little bit lazy, and now so much work is coming at once. It will be interesting. Wish you all nice day and see you later.
