I'm not sure about that, @Topbird - that's a lot of weight :D I'd love somebody to offer to get me something from the bottom shelf as I try and manoeuvre my dodgy knee and glass back down far enough. It's like a giraffe taking a drink at a watering hole ;)

I think we'd get the shopping done in super-quick time if we went together @Biglad. You can do the top 2 shelves and I'll do the bottom 2 😁.

On a plus note my regular gin is always on the bottom shelf🥳

@rubee, please tell Rosie I'm glad to hear she is alright and hope she gets the internet sorted soon.

@Pauline 7, excellent news. Now take it easy.

@Biglad and @Topbird, love to see that sight in the supermarket - You two hand in hand 😂 hands up, hands down🤭

Hope you can relax now @Pauline 7.

I've made the cake for the coffee morning and a bread and butter pudding for tonight.

Hot now after cooking. I'd turned off one of the radiators in the sitting room as it was 23C. Just come in to sit down and OH has only gone and lit the wood burner!

@Songbird-2, just taken in your post. I'm sorry you have palindromic rheumatism, I hope it clears up soon. Had to look it up.

I've been to see elderly lady next door, K, the one who fell. We had a good chat. Neighbours have rallied round, us too, and done shopping for her.

    Good afternoon all.
Hazel, sorry to hear about your poorly shoulder. Is there anything you can take for it aside from the steroids? Like a sort of double whammy? My eyes are just about back to normal now. Thank you for asking.
Woo hoo Pauline! Great news to hear you are home and resting. I hope you feel like a new person once everything has settled down. I have to say that I couldn't WAIT to drive again after my op. I did wait the recommended time and then I was off. What a feeling of freedom!
T'Bird, Biglad and Hazel, you did make me laugh with the shopping 'pictures' you put into my mind. Last weekend when I was in 'sco the tall men were noticeable by their absence (they were probably still in bed mind) so I had to seek help from a tall lady. Anyway @Biglad, they don't make diamonds like bricks!
Well done on your baking Busy! I really love bread and butter pudding.
Thanks for updating us about Rosie Ruby. I hope that t'internet is sorted soon for her.  Please pass on a big

I had a lovely time with my squash team today though one of the ladies was telling us that her husband has been diagnosed with dementia. He's fine at the moment but it was quite sobering as he was one of my regular opponents when we played in our club leagues.
