We have two families of greater spotted woodpeckers this year and their antics are great fun from watching the parents come in to stock up on fat ball energy and later on bringing their fledgelings to be fed to teaching them how to swing on the feeders themselves.

Son has gone out for a drive on his own to see some friends … he says he’ll sort his own evening meal out … he’s fifty years old for goodness sake, and while I’m absolutely thrilled that he’s able to do it I feel soooooo anxious for him. Watching the tennis and knitting frantically 😂

That's brilliant!! He'll be fine, though I understand. 😊❤ It's great he's got the confidence to do his own thing too, I'm sure many people never get theirs back after a massive trauma - if he was one of those you'd probably be worrying about that instead, lol! X
@Slow-worm 🤗 He says he just feels so lucky and so glad that the five children under ten who would usually have been in a caravan just a few feet away were not there that day. He says that would have been traumatising for him … as it is he feels nothing but the luckiest man in the world. 😃

Amusing incident rather than a RTBC. I went to pay in our main carpark earlier today. Unusually, there was a bit of a queue suggesting there was a problem with the machines. The car park attendant was putting a 'Cards Only' sign on one. At the same time a lady kept having her cards rejected, whether she tried contactless or using her pin, on the other machine. The attendant then decided the 2nd machine was faulty, and only the 'Card Only' machine could be used. The attendant was obviously getting flustered as he asked the lady whose cards were being rejected if she could pay by cash. Her response was 'What does that sign say that you just put on the machine?' To add to his woes, the person who had been trying to use the machine before he put the 'Cards Only' sign on it informed him she only had cash, no cards. Thankfully one machine did take my card so I missed out on any further exchanges, or the solution. Although I suspect that solution would have been to let them both out without paying.
