OH has just cut my toenails! Still can't reach down to the side that I had my hip hop.  :)

I have requested the same this evening.  On a more positive note, I did manage to get my sock on for myself but got cramp in the calf doing it!  I think I'll wait a few days before trying again.

I'm nearly at the sock stage @KT53! How is the physio going? I'm on the exercise bike every session now and the physio says my muscles are coming along nicely!!

@floralies physio is going well thanks.  Only had 2 physio sessions so far, 2 weeks apart, and was on the bike for the first time last Wednesday.  I have an exercise bike at home so can keep that up.  Walking is going really well.  I use one stick but that only has light contact with the ground, and comes into its own when I'm cornering as balance can still be slightly off then.  Biggest thing for me is now being able to sleep on my side, with a pillow between my legs.  I fall asleep within minutes that way where it could literally take an hour or more when on my back.  I notice improvement in flexibility every couple of days, but most of all the lack of pain is the big gain.

Well done @floralies and @KT53, good progress so far.

OH is doing another long car trip today (140+ miles) his second I believe since his hip op last August.

I agree about the lack of pain @KT53 there have been days when i have felt very low and wondered if I had done the right thing, but you do turn a corner and see light at the end of the tunnel.

Do you know they used to put corners in tunnels to stop the horses bolting when they saw the light?

I'm going check out my driving capabilities tomorrow.  The leg moves easily and no discomfort if I put pressure through it so I'm hopeful.  Time will tell.  I'll just take it up and down our road initially as there is little traffic there.
