My 5-year-old grandson and his dad made me a birthday cake with 7 candles on it.   :)

My niece sent me a birthday card with a fire extinguisher on it!  She also gave me a bottle of wine, locked in a cage and I have to work out the clues in order to determine the correct combination to unlock the padlock.  And to think I used to love that girl. :D

Will you soon be posting on Curmudgeon saying you can't understand the instructions @Lizzie27 cos I would. I've treated myself to a new label maker for the garden plants amongst other things and I'm dreading learning how to use it if the reviews are owt to go by.

Very probably @Uff! I tried to reduce the spin speed on one programme but obviously didn't succeed because it took off across the floor. Need to find some way of anchoring it into place, we're thinking thick rubber car mats perhaps.
I've got one of those label makers so feel free to ask away if you get stuck. Don't forget to remove the batteries if you don't intend to use for a while.

    That's just mad @pansyface.

I like your niece @KT53.  Have you worked it out yet?

How's OH doing @Busy-Lizzie?   Less pain and more mobility I hope.

RTBC - it stopped raining long enough for me to do the weekly shop in peace this am and is raining again now.   Blowing a hoolie too but that's OK as we're all tucked up indoors except OH who's out playing a golf match.

I received a full refund from the GC for an £8  pack of bulbs that didn't grow at all.
Didn't have the receipt (of course!) but they accepted the entry in my garden diary as proof.

  • My RTBC - I may have sold 150 bales of hay that's too coarse for my old boys to eat.  I'm taking a financial loss on it, but seeing it as an overall win.
Also very cheerful that it's sunny, warm, and snow is melting.  :)
