We have sunshine!  Not that we're short of it here but ater weeks of clouds and rain it's welcome, tho will be short-lived.

I think we've had as much rain in the last month as we've had in the 7 years since moved here.  Last spring we found and blocked an overflow pipe from the pond and the level is now at least a foot/30cms higher than it's been before.  That's a lot of water given it's about 7m wide and 20m long.

I can almost feel the tree and shrub roots slurping with delight.

Sunshine here today too. Tomorrow is supposed to be heavy rain all day.  Why do they never seem to get rainy forecasts wrong?

Forecasts of rain are often over-optimistic here (as in, they forecast it but we don't get any, or only a tiny bit).

We have more rain forecast for tomorrow @KT53.   Fine by me but we're lucky and not in a flood zone.

I hope they're right as all too often the rain disappears or floats by just to the south, east, west or north of us which is frustrating, especially in dry periods.   The water table here is well below where it needs to be so the more rain the better.
