I rescued an unnamed salvia Gregii in the GC today, it was languishing among other unloved plants, now to find somewhere to put it!

Been to have follow up X-rays and then to see the knee surgeon again today.  1st knee done a year ago and second knee 4 weeks ago.  All looking very good so just need a follow up X-ray in 2 years and to continue physio till I have full bend and stretch in 2nd knee.

The hospital is huge, clean, spacious, well laid out in terms of having associated specialisations in the same area - knees and hips; feet and ankles; spine; hands - with dedicated X-ray and MRI etc scanners.   Friendly, competent staff at all levels.  It's been rated 2nd best in France.  It is public service so not private but can be if you want.

My gardener turned up in the pouring rain after all and planted my irises! So pleased.

I've just had an email from Farmer Gracy. Just when I thought I'd ordered everything that I needed wanted. 😍

Last night I found the top of my hair was all stuck together with smelly sticky stuff and I couldn't think for ages what it was or how to get it out. The penny dropped so to speak after a while and i realised it was the resin from pine cones, where I had been working and kept knocking my head on them! I tried soap, then hair shampoo to no avail, the next thing was washing up liquid, yay! it worked a treat, also made the hair very soft!
