Had a few tears when I saw this on the News last night.
How can you lie there and think of England

I have to confess that I had very mixed feelings when I saw it.  I am in absolutely no doubt that it was done with the best of intentions and with the Rob's knowledge and agreement but, having had a friend with a different but equally debilitating illness, I know my friend wouldn't have liked being carried around like a sack of potatoes.
I'm guessing the desire was for Rob to cross the finishing line out of his wheelchair, so maybe somewhere screened off to allow the lift to be done in private would have been preferrable.
Overall a small blip in what has been a truly amazing tribute from Kevin Sinfield for his mate.

I take your point, @KT53, and I assume it was done with Rob's consent.
Sinfield has now raised over £8 million for MND.
If anyone is worthy of being a celebrity, it is him, although I expect he wouldn't thank you for that.

I've a funny feeling you would get a very firm and short answer if you suggested to Kevin Sinfield that he is a celebrity.  I was in no way trying to denigrate what he has done both in fundraising and raising the profile of MND.  He has been incredible in what he has done, and been a true friend to Rob at Rob's time of real need.

I'm cheerful because I don't live in Australia. There is a single black fly that has been following me around the garden. It hovers about an inch in front of my face. It's probably waiting at the back door for me now😡 How do the Australians tolerate all those flies?
