    That's good progress@KT53.

My OH says he aches more when he doesn't walk than when he does, so he's trying to walk every day.

@Lizzie27 I agree with your OH completely.  The hip is very quick to stiffen up.  I find it worst first thing in the morning, but quickly eases with movement.

That's good you're managing @KT53. Ca' canny , as we say here  :)

RTBC today is - another sunny day -woo hoo! A welcome break from the clag, wind and rain over the last few weeks. Frosty, icy and clear -lovely. Pond surface is melting, and the sun is getting going. Yesterday got to 11 which is incredible for the time of year, and it'll have been a few degrees warmer in the sun, so I got a few outdoor jobs done. I'd be happy if it never got hotter than that   ;)

Agree @Fairygirl, lovely yesterday and a full day working outside and just as sunny today. I'm not working though, a friend has invited me out for lunch so it's a holiday today.

Enjoy it while it lasts @Uff:)
I even managed an almost fully dry washing yesterday, and there was no breeze to help it. Must go and hang out the next lot now that the sun's getting up well enough....

  • Thank goodness there are still some people of integrity in the film business. I’ve always thought Phil Davis was a sound chap … he’s just proved me right …

@Fairygirl I was warned at physio today not to overdo it.  She was both impressed and annoyed that at one point I was walking across the room without using sticks at all.  Physio was hard work but good fun.  Physio did advise resting with feet up when I got home, so I took her advice and laid on the bed to watch telly.  When I woke up nearly 3 hours later.....  I hadn't appreciated how much nearly 2 weeks of disturbed sleep plus a physio session had taken out of me.

@KT53 when I got my new knee both the hospital and home physio told me not to overdo it.  You do have to keep things moving but you also have to allow the body time to rest and recover and heal quietly.  Lots of sleep for me interspersed with ice blocks with the leg up and exercises.  For ages I was stiff when I got up and started moving but, once launched, movement was fine and I really enjoy my session at the physio's gym.
