    Rain, hail and very strong winds again here. The fields are just running with water, our large wildlife pond is brim full and spilling over in places causing more 'rivers' across the yard, I'll soon be able to hold watersplash competitions for Landrovers lol!!
    Hope your Sunday roasts were a success @D0rdogne_Damsel although knowing you I'm sure they were perfect. I do so admire both your efforts and your energy.
    Hope everyone else has had a restful Sunday and those suffering bad weather like us soon have a glimmer of sunshine.
  • Thanks @AnnaB, yes, all went extremely well, despite persistent rain all day, people came out. My 'Yorkies' were phenomenal, even if I do say so myself, seems I've found a fabulous recipe.Ā

    Now slumped in front of TV watching a very strange film, but Charlie thinks it's marvellous, so I'm happy.Ā

    Good evening to all.Ā

    @Hostafan1, hope you're ok. Xx

    All this talk of food made me hungry! I made a dozen Yorkshire puddings while I had the oven on, after some disappointing results recently, these came out a treat! Absolutely huge! We ate some with lunch, and I’ve frozen the rest, they reheat really well in the air fryer. Also made some shortbread, I’ve had a hankering for some since one of you mentioned on here having a slice with a cup of tea. Delicious, and very quick to make. This is not going to help with recovering from the Christmas overindulgence.

    Good morning all.

    Our phone is out of order. It rings but just clicks when you answer it. OH has reported it. Nuisance, OH's mobile doesn't have a signal here and mine is French.

    No plans again. I have some sewing alterations to do. Lots of gardening to do when the weather is better.

    That’s irritating Bl. Ā  I hope it gets sorted out soon for you both.

    Dove, you never know, we both might have good news tomorrow.

    Hope both your thyroxine levels are OK @Dovefromabove and @Pat E.Ā Ā
    Nuisance about the phone @Busy-Lizzie.
    I haven't made yorkshire puds for a while. My mum's were perfect every time but mine have to be relabelled as yorkshire biscuits.
    Got a meeting in a bit, then book club tonight.Ā  It's my book (Robert Peston's Whistleblower - a cracking read!).Ā  When it's your recommendation you have to introduce the book with something about the author and something about the book.Ā  I printed that out yesterday but I've just spilt tea on it.
