    Morning all.

Jeff Beck is someone I have heard of and liked. I loved the Yardbirds.

OH is taking me to lunch at my favourite pub restaurant in Suffolk today.

A bit of chatter about Jeff Beck and the Yardbirds on my FB timeline this morning.Ā  A dear friend from those early days reminded me of a time he and a couple of other friends had been to see them in Maidenhead.Ā  On their way home (in Bill's van) they spotted me and my friend Cathy with a couple of chaps, walking along a country road.Ā  The reason we were walking along the road at that time of night was because we had been in another van, owned by the chaps (can't remember where we had been with them) but a wheel fell off and we were walking along to try and find civilisation and help.Ā  Bill's van screeched to a halt, the back door flew open and there was my friend, sitting in the back in a deckchair.Ā  Cathy and I scrambled in and off we all went to an all night cafe in London!Ā  Leaving the poor chaps we had been with to fend for themselves.

    Hi all
    Great story @didyw
Sorry not been around much, not feeling very chatty, health issues, and a rat problem which is getting worse.

Sorry to read that the rat issue is still unresolved @punkdoc. How awful.
Hope you start to improve with your health issues very soon, too.
Good story, @didyw - lovely to have these kind of memories.
  • Good afternoon,Ā  sorry to hear about the rat issue @punkdoc.Ā

I am having a rest day today. I  got a call from the Allotments chairman  yesterday morning,  the farmer was coming with the manure delivery promised since before Christmas.  So no prises for guessing what I did all day yesterday.  Still got a lot of it to move, but after not being very active for the past couple of months it was a bit of a shock to the system.  All in all the farmer did 8 loads (for various plots) I was thinking at £50 a go,  not a bad days work for him.
