    Afternoon folks, torrential rain again all morning so drove the car down to the paper shop, feeling rather guilty but better than getting absolutely drowned. I can't get motivated to do much either, a little bit of cleaning, ironing and washing, then I watched ETTC this afternoon - more guilty feelings. Hopefully as the rain has now stopped we might go to Garden Club tonight, the first this year and our favourite humorous speaker.

    EEK, is Moira now refusing to go downstairs @punkdoc, I rather think I would be. Hopefully the rodent operative is being helpful. Sorry to hear you've health issues again, hope you recover soon.

    Good morning forkers. I am away from my laptop, using my phone so apologies if this post turns out oddĀ
    The flight was windy but I have recently acquired certain techniques to keep on top of sudden fears.Ā  London is wet and windy but at least a couple of degrees warmer than Lux.
    @punkdoc I sympathise as I am going through a difficult patch caused mainly by doctors who don't listen. We don't have the problems with Lux NHS that the UK is experiencing now, but we have others with which I will bore you not.Ā
    @Busy-Lizzie
    Sending good vibes to all (they don't even have to cross the Channel todayĀ  :D and good vibes to Australia too)Ā

    OH is off to work today, and I’ll be off to the farm shop and butcher for the first time since picking up our Christmas supplies.Ā

    Morning all.  Had my visit to the GP today and more tests planned. Otherwise, no change here. 😓

    Morning all.

    We enjoyed our lunch out yesterday. Nice people, they put out a cone to reserve a place for OH in the car park and they gave us our favourite table. Not pub grub. Pub prices for Michelin star type of food.

    I went for a short walk afterwards, howling gale but at least it didn't rain. It had tipped on the drive home.

    It's still very windy.

  • Good morning,Ā  much brighter start but windy here too. They are forecasting frost for next week so I will try to shift some more of the Muck today. Still a bit creaky from Weds, but better to keep moving I think.Ā  Really hoping they are good to their word this time and you get a date soon @Busy-Lizzie.Ā  Best wishes to all.Ā

    Morning all,

    It was a very windy night last night - it’s apparently brought a tree down in a nearby lane which doesn’t surprise me given how strong the wind got. It’s still windy this morning and showery. Supposed to be having our magnolia trimmed today, but I’ve texted the gardener to see if he’d rather wait for a calmer day - I’d hate for him to fall or be hit by a branch.

    I think I’ll be hunkering down today, it doesn’t look fit to be going anywhere at the moment.Ā

    Have a good day folks.
