The house has warmed up nowĀ  :)

We went to Morrison's, lemon sole tonight. Their pork filet mignon was a lot cheaper than in France. I was expecting prices to have gone up more. Logs from the garage for the wood burner had nearly doubled in price.

I hope your OH is better soon @didyw.Ā Ā

    Horrid wet and windy day.

Moles have invaded the lawn again.Ā

I’m glad to enjoyed Earthly Delights, Ergates. I love her books. Currently reading the whole series for the fourth time šŸ˜³šŸ˜‚ Ā
It’s hot and sunny on the veranda, so Pixel is spread out in the morning sun.Ā

  • Morning all,

Thank you all so much for your supportive comments, it really does mean a lot. It's such a difficult time for me.Ā

Great Britain Sunday Roast on the menu today, quite a lot of réservations, that'll keep my mind off my worries.

Very wet here, enjoy your sunshine @Pat E.Ā

Must be off, best wishes to all, Happy Sunday. šŸ™‚

    Good morning all 😊 ā˜•ļøĀ
Hang on in there @D0rdogne_Damsel šŸ¤ž.Ā
Sunday roast here too … belly of pork with slivers of russet apple and sage leaves slid beneath the crackling, roasted carrots and potatoes, and cauliflower in a bechamel sauce and a mustard and sage gravy.Ā
It’s 7C here and clear and dry at the moment … although there are showers due later, apparently…

Morning all.Ā  Nice and sunny outside.Ā  But I'm not going to be putting on my gardening togs today.Ā  Feel a bit guilty about that, but there are some major jobs that need doing and I need a good run up to get to that point.Ā  Still very much in hibernation mode.Ā Ā

  • Morning everyone,Ā  well it was bright and dry here early onĀ  but before we could get going the first of the rain came. It's now intermittent brands of hail, rain and high winds every few minutes.Ā  So we won't be getting a walk today again.Ā  We made parsnip soup yesterday so lunch is already sorted.

Good morning all. The rain hasn’t reached us yet, but it’s certainly cloudier than earlier.
Roast duck breast and veges for dinner here today. Another lazy day today.

All the lovely food talk from you all has caught my eye.Ā
We having a brunch now (bagels to use up) and expect I’ll do a chicken dinner later.Ā

Take care all. Thoughts to those with worries.Ā

    Morning all.

Windy, cold and gloomy outside. We are having a quiet day. OH has lit the wood burner and I've loaded all my Christmas photos onto my Laptop. Steak, chips, Savoy cabbage and carrots, with gravy tonight. Then blackberry and apple pie.

Evening all, it's been horrendous again all day. Got marooned in the GC with a friend as raining too hard to walk up to the cafeĀ  - it's in a different building. Finally made it and had a good catch up chat. I bought some reduced price cyclamens, the ones with the pretty silvery leaves and a big boot tidy which I'm hoping will fit over my potting table to keep the bird muck off (it's under aa big tree).

Back home for a late lunch and Oh had hoovered and put the washing in the tumble dryer.

It's our usual roast lamb dinner with roasties, carrots and broccoli tonight. No pud but I expect some chocolates will be eaten later with our coffee.

Hope you all have a good week.
