    Morning LB, debs and Rosie.

Debs, it's perfectly normal. Nobody would believe that you have new bookshelves without purple finger.  😁

I'm back from SM. I didn't find only one product, but few extras replaced it. It's quite strange outside, high wind, snow and sun.

Morning all. It's very very foggy here and very very cold. Thick rime ice making the garden look very pretty and highlighting all the cobwebs. Just been out to pick some sage and thyme for roast chicken dinner. It's fine but needs to defrost before I can use it!

Debs - hope your finger isn't too painful. We all have accidents doing stuff don't we? Yours sounds very unpleasant Rosie BB. The silliest minor incident I managed was to snip off the very tip of a finger when pruning with some razor sharp secateurs. A titchy, tiny slice but it flipping well hurt and didn't stop bleeding for about 3 days. It was around that time when I cut through the house phone wire when cutting back stuff in the border against the house wall🙄 Not safe to be let out.

Doing unmentionables and more transcribing today. Will be good to get all those sorts of jobs out of the way in the next few days.

    Morning all.

That's very pretty, LB, but I hope it doesn't mean bad weather.

I woke at 6.30, earlier than usual. We went to 9.30 church. There was fog and everything was white with frost. Pretty but ghostly.

    Good afternoon all,

We started with a very keen frost this morning, but it’s beginning to melt away so the temperature must be rising slightly. Still flippin’ cold though, but at least the fog has lifted.

Stunning sunrise, @Ladybird4, those colours are magnificent. Nature can certainly put on a good show.

I had a very, very lazy day yesterday, reading a bit and catching up with all the Winter watch programmes that were shown this week. Today, I should do a bit of work, but I’m sure it will be punctuated with reading, painting, tv 😅.

Happy Chinese New Year to you all. I think we might just show willing and order a Chinese takeaway this evening.

Hope your hand isn’t hurting too much @debs64 and that you are pleased with your handiwork, despite the injury. We all manage to do daft things sometimes, don’t we. I had an argument with a mandolin once; wow, that taught me a lesson in taking extra care in future.

Well, lunch beckons. Have a good Sunday.

Afternoon all, Can't seem to get warm today, huddled on the sofa with a fluffy blanket watching Poirot.  The heating's on and we have a roaring fire but nothing seems to be warming me up today.  Nothing planned except a lazy day.
Sorry to hear about your hand Debs, hope it feels better soon.  Recently put together a new bookcase myself.  Gave myself blisters on my hands using a screwdriver which in the process became blunt.  Asked Hubby if he had another one and he came in with an electric screwdriver fully charged
Thanks for asking about my art work LB.  I'll try and sort some photos out.  Don't get too excited I'm just an enthusiastic amateur with a lot to learn. :D
    Enjoy your day folks.

I'm like you @Yviestevie, can't get warm  especially my feet. Heating is on, woodburner roaring away, wrapped in a soft bkanket on the sofa. I have tights on under my socks, jeans and woolly slipers and an extra thick jumper over a long sleeved T shirt. OH says it's 24C in here. Maybe I need some exercise. I'll go out eventually to post son's birthday card.

Good afternoon all. There are some 'oh so familiar stories' on Rez today. Yvie and Busy I have not been able to get warm for most of today - I am definitely feeling warmer now though. Busy, my feet are the real giveaway for cold temperatures and last night in bed it took ages for them to actually feel warm.
Been working on a crossword on and off today. Its defeated me. I was down to the last three clues and hit a brick wall. I abandoned it then. Tomorrow I hope that my new curtains - from one of Hazel's favourite shops - arrive early so that I'm not having to hang around.
