Ante, you will have a wonderful day on Thursday by the sounds of it. I will be having my hair done on that day at my Bestie's so I'm very glad the snow and ice has melted away.
Hazel, I am a bit like you when waiting in for parcels or phone calls - cannot settle at all. Speaking of parcels, I had to take in 4 for my neighbour yesterday. They weren't heavy but they were huge and took up a lot of room!
Busy - busy in your garden again. You have had a bad back recently so do take it easy so that you can enjoy Christmas with the family without any aches and pains.

  • Ante I’ve been to see the Nutcracker at the local theatre and thoroughly enjoyed it, your mother and aunt will have a good evening ahead.  LB hope you enjoyed your quizzing and a smooth trip home.  Hazel I’m glad sons car sorted and both have a rest for your endeavours.

Good morning everyone .LB those questions are tough .I guess you will have enjoyed your evening
even though the format is different to what you are used to. Plenty of things for me to get on with today .I guess it’s the same for everyone .

Morning Rosie and Ruby. I saw the Nutcracker many years ago Rosie and loved it. I went to ballet classes when I was very young and danced for quite a long time and then my love of horses took over and I opted to do that instead.
I wish I didn't have a list as long as my arm of things to do Ruby but I'll muddle on regardless.

Morning all. Late getting up and I could still be there if I had my way. That style of quizzing sounds like hard work LB and being a late night, you'll be tired today. I didn't have a clue what the answers to those questions were either. We enjoy watching Eggheads on TV sometimes.
My ironing board is supposed to be getting delivered today so I'm stuck in again, waiting around ' for others'. ( LB, we take in a lot of parcels for the neighbours , sometimes,  too and sometimes we feel like we are a PO Sorting Office in the hall!).
Oh Busy, five hours in the garden!? Goodness me, hope you will be ok today after that.

Morning Hazel. Another 'hanging around' day for you. I hope that the ironing board is delivered sooner rather than later.

    Morning all.

I'm not so stiff this morning but did take painkillers in the night.

I love The Nutcracker. I've seen it several times.

LB like you I did baĺlet when I was in junior school then did horse riding, which I loved. My father got a big promotion, became senior partner, when I was 11 so we moved to a farmhouse in the country and I got a pony for my 12th birthday. It was such a change, we'd been quite poor before that. One of the first things my father did was raise the salaries of the junior staff.

We need a quick trip to the SM then I will wrap the presents for my grandchildren.

Busy, you've reminded me......I've actually forgotten to wrap Oh's presents! Poor thing......
Ive unwrapped the fleece from the 3 cyclamen and they've survived very well, they look almost normal now. I know one is definitely an outside one as it stayed out last winter and flowered throughout, but it was a mild season compared to this winter. I've potted on 2 foxgloves that had outgrown their pots and later on, I'm going to inspect the plants in the coldframe and sort them out. Much milder today and the sun is out, I've noticed the new Jasmine looks as if it's struggling.
Still waiting for ironing board, sigh.......
  • Local ATMs say temporarily out of order and have been for three weeks now.  Busy in the shop.  Later a walk with Dad and back for a cup of tea.  Hazel get wrapping oh presents in time.  LB yes I love horses, very elegant.  I’ve done the ironing and pottered.  My furry friend has been attended to and had his treats and a good brushing.  Good underfoot and not as cold.

    Afternoon all.

Hazel, hope OH's present is wrapped by now. Nice that your cyclamen survived cold weather.

Rosie, hope you had a nice walk with Dad. Sorry to hear that ATM still doesn't work.

Grey and foggy day. At least it didn't rain, so we came dry from the walk. I like opera, but ballet never was my cup of tea. I watched ballet only once and it was horrible. Rosie mentioned ATM problem, and we have that too. From New Year we will have euro, and they must adjust all ATM's, so many of them is off.
Tonight will be another Christmas movie on tv, so that's the plan for evening.

Hope you all have a nice day.
