I'm also up early. Today will be an easy day in the school. It's Christmas after all. Grey and rainy morning, but calm and warm. I'll bake biscuits this afternoon, and that will be all for this Christmas.

We are still without phone and Internet, though my mobile phone works. There is a junction box in the next village, all smashed up, looks as though a car has driven into it.
A busy day today. I will pack the car to go to son's. The presents, crackers, some groceries are all in the children's guest room. Some, such as the hampers I made up for my children, are quite heavy, think I'll use a wheelbarrow to take them down the path. I must pack my suitcase and make sure my long skirt still fits.
Cooking to do, sausage rolls, chicken and mushroom tartlets, devils on horseback. We have finger foods on Christmas Eve evening.
It's a long drive to son in Burgundy.

Busy, what an exciting yet busy day for you today. Hope you've done a tick list so that you won't forget anything vital. Be careful wheelbarrowing the heavy stuff to the car. How long will it take you to get to your son's if the roads are quiet for you?
Red maple, it was dry when I went to town first thing this morning and I was so glad I went as early as I did since getting home it has been pouring down and most unpleasant. Hope you get to the hairdresser's without getting too wet. Oddly enough, it always seems to rain when I have my hair appointments.

Afternoon all. Raining here too but warm enough. Hoping to pop to sm at some point. Dad waiting for nurse, difficult to plan when he has no idea of what time it will be. I should imagine they’re really pushed at this time of the year. My new glasses arrived today I’m delighted with them much clearer than the old ones. The King and I is on at the moment but seen it many times over the years.
