LB, the cover is to use now as yes, I do like a thicker layer on which to iron. I also bought some replacement fleece to sit on top of mesh top, it was about three times as thick as what was on. We got a frame for 23 and chicken pic thanks although not a lot of choice available in the size we needed. Good to hear you had a great day with sister and family and extended family members. It's always nice to have hugs from the younger ones, they grow out of them so quickly. The roads have been pretty manic from what I've read today and the bad weather hasn't helped. Glad we didn't have to go far.

Hazel, I'm glad I didn't have to go too far either. My huggy great nephew is 15 now and he is not one jot embarrassed by the 'huggy' thing yet. Long may that continue.
I am signing out for tonight people.ย  Enjoy your evenings and I'll see you tomorrow.

Quick dash to 'sco first thing on the cards today.
@Biglad I suspect that the flagging job will have to go on the back burner for a little longer (Ante - left for another time) because the weather report is grim.

Back from 'sco. Lovely and peaceful at that time of day.
Ruby I got two new books for Christmas. I'm looking forward to reading them.
Good to see you Debs but I'm sorry to hear that the cold you had has hung on for so long. I think there may be a few more days of madness left prior to the new year coming in.

Morning all. Pouring with rain here but it is a little milder. Popped out and managed to get another picture frame for 23/chickens' picture so OH is sorting that out for me. Son has asked OH to paint 23 a new picture for his bedroom...subject is certain Marvel figures! He's moved on from Toy Story๐Ÿ™‚ย
Debs nice to see you. The cold that seems to be going round is rather nasty. Our newsagent is just getting over the worst of it but still has a croaky voice and a hacking cough. Hope yours is over soon now.
Nusy, hope you have a good journey back home after your very festive time with family.

    Morning all.

We arrived home just as daylight was fading yesterday. The country roads were fine but the motorway was very busy. It rained on the motorway, glare and spray not nice, but stopped raining when we left the motorway at Limoges.

I've been putting Christmas presents away and unpacking but the sun is shining so I'm going outsiding soon to do some mulching and weeding.
