T'Bird, sorry to hear about the ankle problem. Pity we can't get gin on prescription! Hope that you have let your OH know it was the London walking that did for you - so basically, its his fault! (Joking of course!) I'm sure that he had a happy day.
Its one of my sister's birthdays today so I might make a drive down if she is going to be in and have a coffee with her and her OH. It looks very wet outside.

Good morning everyone .LB I thought it was Wednesday when I woke up. I hope you have a good time if you pop to your sisters .Happy Birthday to her .I haven’t opened the curtains yet ,I wonder what weather will greet me today . Have a good safe day folks .
Morning everyone, I didn't have a clue what day it was when I woke up. Had to put my coat on and dash outside to put the bin out! They probably won't come early, but they would have if I hadn't put it out when I did. The days have gone so quickly. Still Christmas here though. Happy birthday to your sister @Ladybird4 Have a lovely day everyone
Morning all. Lovelyto see you SGL, glad to hear you're still having Christmas, ours is done with now and am beginning to think about what birthdays are on the horizon. We have plenty in February including mine gawd! Happy Birthday to your sister LB, hope she has a good day and it'll be nice if you can manage a trip to see her, but take care. We are going out to our favourite store this morning after some deliveries have been made. I need a frame for a lovely picture son has sent us of 23 and some other bits and bobs. I, too, am lost with my days this week and I thought it was Wednesday too today. Topbird, I hope your ankle heals soon, rest it up if you can and don't overdo things.I've noticed plenty of bulbs popping up now in the garden. Some daff bulbs are quite tall. Hope they survive the winter.
Morning all. Quiet day for me today. OH has gone off to work so will probably be on my own until mid afternoon. Think I'm going to do a bit of transcribing then clean & fill fountain pens (have several including a new one for Christmas and lots of different coloured inks) and then light the fire and start a jigsaw.
I tell you - life is REALLY exciting in the TB household!🤣
BL - safe journey home. Sure the peace and quiet will be much appreciated after the last couple of days. I'd be kn@@kered.
Hazel - we're also looking forward to things getting back to normal. Don't do New Year at all beyond watching a bit of the Hootenanay (Ante - that's Jools Holland's show on New Year's Eve. If you can get past the inane chat with 'celebrity' guests there's usually lots of good music)
Currently doing a software update on desktop computer. It is taking forever and I can't get on with the stuff I wanted to do....🤬 Go and make coffee TB - nothing worse than watch a crawling progress line on the screen!
Heaven is ... sitting in the garden with a G&T and a cat while watching the sun go down
Well Marti has well and truly set up camp here Rain, sleet and more rain. Had a thunderstorm chucked in last night. The patio remains uneven and dishevelled. Or is that just me
Our festivities were quiet compared with some! Glad that it is all done and dusted now though.
Can't say I've noticed that the days are getting longer yet but we're half way through the grimmer months of the year and March isn't a million miles away now. I always regard that as the likely start of spring-like weather but who knows what climate change will bring in 2023. Heatwave in January, snow in July?
I'm going to lurk on our new sofa all afternoon and and have a ponder...
Oh no @Biglad! A new sofa to make your own, along with CA.....gawd, you'll be commandeering all known furniture before the New Year.😀😂 Topbird, I don't envy you doing the dreaded tax return. Nightmare. Just like the favourite store was this morning. It was heaving in and out. I got the wrong cushion innards too😕However, I did find a new ironing board cover that fits the new board, my old one was too small. Who knew there were so many ins and outs to getting an ironing board plus accessories? All work done here for the day, knitting coming out and a cuppa at hand. Join me Topbird? You'll have to bring your own G and T though😂
Good afternoon all. Had a nice visit with the birthday girl and her OH and I was really happy to see that my nephew, his wife and the three children were there too. Great nephew - he who is the best hugger in the world - is so tall now! Gone are the days they used me as a measuring stick!
Lovely to see you SGL. Its so nice to see you popping in and out.
Hazel did you manage to get the picture frame you were after today? Have you just got the new cover for your board as a standby or do you like to have a thicker base for your hot metal work?
T'Bird, I got a new jigsaw for Christmas. I love them! Talking of software updates, my phone did one on Christmas Day morning. I then have to go through all the Apps and Force Stop all the ones that mysteriously get turned on again (and the phone won't let me delete them!) after one such update. Most annoying.
Biglad - I agree about the dreadful weather. I did not enjoy the M6 at all today. Apparently in the hailstorm yesterday there was a multi car shunt on the M6 near my junction - so BIL was telling me. No fatalities that we have heard of but lots of dented metal. It affected both sides of the motorway for a while and that was all due to the horrendous hail. Oh no! a CS as well as a CA - will you cope?

Thanks, @Topbird, tum is OK now.
Bedtime last night was chaotic, too much excitement. There was another present opening session last night.
We go back to Dordogne today.
The days have gone so quickly.
Still Christmas here though.
Happy birthday to your sister @Ladybird4
