Hi folks,  Gabriel has been allowed home after being dosed up with oxygen and steroids.  Secondborn said A & E was crammed with people but she was seen quickly as he was so young and his breathing was compromised.  He came home with a little toy 3 stickers and an activity book.  They don't have a children's dept at the hospital any more so when they get a little one in I think they spoil them a bit.  Hopefully his oxygen levels will stay up during the night and he will be OK.  I'm going back over tomorrow so that Secondborn can go to work, unfortunately teachers can't book a day off so she can't stay with him.
Meant to say LB, that after your recommendation I started to read the Slow Horse books.  Love them, I've also been watching the TV series based on the books on Apple TV.  Love the Thursday Murder Club books too.  I've just finished the latest one.

    Enjoy your evening folks.

Yvie, I'm so glad that Gabriel is better and that he is at home. Enjoy your book.

I'm also signing out. Snow is now serious, so I think nothing of trip to cottage tomorrow.
    Wish you all goodnight.

A very good morning all. I was pleased to read that Gabriel came home yesterday Yvie - fingers crossed he is much better this morning. Once you have finished the Slow Horses series I can recommend the Jo Nesbø 'Harry Hole' series. I've read the first 12 and number 13 comes out in May I believe. At the moment I am reading J.B. Turner's Jon Reznick series which I am also enjoying very much - though I wouldn't want to be on the wrong side of him!
Ante, I do hope that the snow is not as bad as is expected. It seems quite clear here today - but very frosty.

p.s. I meant to say what a cracking match Andy Murray played in Melbourne - coming back from 2 sets down to take the match and move into the 3rd round.

Good morning all. Pleased to hear Gabriel is on the mend @Yviestevie and lovely to hear from you.
A quiet morning for me then work then really looking forward to a weekend of organising my new bookshelves. Sad I know but I do love that type of thing. I have some ornaments that were moms I would like to have on display.
No more snow here please @Ante1 it’s time to think of Spring. Got to start those sweet peas off soon.

    Good morning all.

Debs, I agree, no more snow, but according to forecast it will be quite opposite.

LB, snow stopped during the night, and now is just drizzling. It's very cold, and there is ice on the ground.

First class is finished, and I have few minutes before other one. I was walking to the school, it's wasn't too bad, but it was cold.

Wish you all nice and warm day. See you this afternoon.

Morning all. No further snow here overnight but everywhere is iced up . I will need to be put some rock salts out near the front door as it's slippery there. Don't want the postman etc falling.
Ante, may I ask what time you start school on a morning?
