    Good afternoon all.
Hazel, glad that you got through the shopping OK and that it wasn't too slippery getting to and from your car. I really dislike feeling unsafe underfoot when its icy and think I might invest in those crampon type things you can slip over your shoes to aid walking in icy conditions.
T'Bird, I now have visions of you getting well and truly steamed up then dashing out into the snow and rolling about beating yourself with birch twigs. Where on earth did that image come from? I'm sure I've read somewhere that is how the Scandis behave in and out of saunas. Maybe German saunas are more refined!
Yvie, I am so sorry to hear that little Gabriel has had to go to hospital again. Such a worry for you all. Fingers crossed that they both get home tonight.
I did go out first thing this morning and smack both lids on my bins as I did not want them NOT opening when the bin lorries arrived. Both were successfully emptied.

    Afternoon all.

Yvie, sorry to hear that Gabriel went to the hospital. Hope he will see doctor and come home tonight.

It's snowing. Nothing serious, but white stuff is all around. If road will be properly clean tomorrow, I'll go to the cottage with Max. I received a call today regarding bird feed which didn't arrive few days ago. They don't have it on stock, and they asked me if I want money back.
Now is time for dinner and tea.

@Ante, now you've done it.......you've sent the snow over here and it snowed really quite large fluffy flakes this afternoon, for about half an hour. Nothing laid though so you're forgiven!🤭🤗😂 It's definitely feeling like winter now. I can't see me getting into a sauna though and then diving into the snow afterwards😱
We decided to go to D*n**m this afternoon to get 23's sisters birthday present. Came out with a few other things too🫣
Yvie, poor Gabriel, hope he is alright and gets home soon and feels better.

Ante, it snowed here this morning - just a light covering but enough to make everything look very wintry. What are your poor birds going to do now? I hope that you find another seller. I filled up my feeder when I got home this afternoon and as soon as I moved into the kitchen, swarms of tiny feathered friends arrived.
Hazel, I am expecting a delivery of some curtains from your favourite shop. They are due on Monday.

Ha ha Hazel, I can't suffer alone. 😂

LB, I still have some bird food and lots of lard balls. I'll find new seller and order ASAP. Next few days will be cold with wind and snow.

  • Hazel I know what you mean some hardbacks can be difficult to hold.
  • Hazel I know what you mean some hardbacks can be difficult to hold.  Ante rain here too and a skid of ice, rather long on the pavement and frost on roofs and grassy areas.  LB  a walk with Dad inhaling the fresh air.  Yvie I hop Gabriel will soon be well.

Rosie, it's my birthday next month and I have my eye on a couple of new books. I think I might have to warn folks that a paperback will do nicely😂
LB, hope your curtains arrive timely for you. We've already had one missed item this week ( got a refund) and a book I had ordered was due today, and still hasn't come. It's such a nuisance trying to get a refund.
We have the double glazing chaps coming tomorrow, I hope they manage to seal the windows better and stop the draughts. Less than a year old too.
Im signing out for tonight. Have a good evening all.
