    Afternoon all.

Rubee, sorry to hear that your knees still hurts.

Another rainy and windy day. Sorry to hear that some of you have snow, tonight and tomorrow we also might have some. SM shopping passed ok, I found everything from my list, and few extras. Now is time for tea and early dinner.

Hi folks,  sorry I've not been around for a while.  It's been a bit full on here over the last few months.  Hubby isn't so good and it means I have to do everything and that doesn't agree with my arthritis. We did have a good Christmas though with time being split between first and secondborn's.  Secondborn has settled into her new house and things are a bit easier now for her, with a bit of luck her divorce will be through in a few weeks.
I haven't read back as there is too much, but I hope everyone is OK and that you are all staying warm and safe.

Hello Yvie. Nice to see you here. Sorry to hear that your OH is not well, but it's nice to hear that you had a nice Christmas. Hope everything will settle soon for you. Stay strong.

Good to hear from you @Yviestevie, but sorry to hear that your OH is poorly. Glad you had a good Christmas.

    Our Internet keeps going off.

  • Rather frosty underfoot and a cool day.  Rubees passed me a book on Katherine Hepburn to read.  Have a good evening all.

Good afternoon all. Its been a bit of a day today. I had to go to a funeral this afternoon and whilst it was a lovely service and celebration it was still quite emotional.
My bin day tomorrow too Biglad. Recycling and garden waste. Just put them and my milk bottle out. I think its going to be another frosty night.
Ante, it is quite amazing how extra things can sneak into your basket when you aren't looking! Glad you managed to get everything you wanted.
Yvie its lovely to see you Smiling Face with Open Hands on Microsoft Teams. I am so sorry to hear about your OH and I am pleased to read that after a great deal of heartbreak, secondborn is settling into her new home.
Busy, I am sorry to read that your internet keeps going off. Didn't you have this problem last week?
Rosie, that sounds an interesting read. I vaguely remember seeing her in a film with Spencer Tracy but I cannot for the life of me remember the name of the film. I should Google it.

    Evening all.
LB, so sorry to hear that you've been to a funeral today. That will have been very hard for you and as you say, very emotional too particularly after your recent loss. Please look after yourself and you know we're all here for you should you need to offload. Itchy dry skin is a lot better today, thanks. The ointment seems to be working thankfully.

Yvie, so nice to see you again but sorry to read that your OH hasn't been well and your arthritis has been suffering due to your extra workload. Some hard times for many of us lately so you need to look after yourself too. Good to hear your second born is nearly there and has settled into her new home. Fingers crossed things will improve for you and family this year.

Busy, we recently found out that our main telephone line is six miles away from our home so no wonder we have a very slow and poor speed broadband here. It can't be improved either no matter which provider we go  with. It's a nuisance when they start playing up..we don't realise how much we miss them when things go wrong.

Ante, hope the snow decides to keep away for you. Won't we all be glad when the warmer weather gets here?

Rosie, yes, it's frosty these days so have to be extra careful when out walking. Hope you enjoy the new book. I've just started the new book by Richard Osman although not quite my cup of tea.

Hazel, thank you for your kind words. Is your Richard Osman book one of the Thursday Murder Club series? I have read the first two and have to admit that I really liked them. Each to his own. I will be getting the next one 'The Bullet that Missed' as soon as I've finished the book I'm reading at the moment.

LB, yes, the book is his latest one, bought for me as a Christmas present. My only main difficulty, when reading it though, is keeping it held up as it's a hard back and quite big!😆 Half and hour or so and my hand starts drooping....
Will sign out for today so hope everyone keeps warm overnight, it's going to be -3 at 6am here tomorrow brrrrr......🥶🥶
