Love the pheasant - way more exotic than any visitors we get!
Was milder and less white than I expected this morning so I've done a few bits in the garden. Involving hammering, painting, dismantling and fettling. Not a plant or handful of compost involved at all
Those Bill and Ben folk were way before my time @Ladybird4. Did their garden get taken over by the Clangers?
LB, first time I hear for Bill and Ben. I'll see if I can find something online. Thank you, because I really like old fashion tv program.
Bussy, pheasant photo is beautiful. We don't have them on the coast.
I just came home from my neighbor. She needed help with new laptop. Nothing complicated, but it takes time. Outside is still raining, and it's cold. I'm going prepare something for dinner.
Biglad, I loved the Clangers too - especially Tiny Clanger and the Soup Dragon. I thought I might knit them once. Never got round to it though. Then of course there were the Wombles. I really approved of them
Well done on helping your neighbour Ante. New laptops are great!
I am not out quizzing tonight so I'll be getting my brain in gear for the TV quizzes instead and then there is Silent Witness. Thats my evening sorted. I'm signing out for tonight and I'll see you in the morning. Enjoy your evenings!
Cacoethes: An irresistible urge to do something inadvisable
@Ante1, “Bill and Ben, the flowerpot men”, were characters in a children's programme broadcast by the BBC in the 1960’s (and possibly the late 1950’s) called “Watch with Mother”. It was a programme that ran weekdays in the afternoon for approximately 15 minutes. Bill and Ben were not shown each day, sometimes there were other stories with different characters, for example there was one based around characters from a fictional town called “Camberwick Green”, but there were others, too, although I’m afraid I can’t recall them, I’ll have to look up “ Watch with Mother” to refresh my memory - it was a long time ago!
Good morning everyone. I am so glad I awakened all of those happy memories for you all yesterday. It must be a time for looking back as the Beeb is full of the fact that Breakfast is 40 years old today. Last night when I went to bed after SW, I could not believe the snowy outlook from my window. Snow, frost and fog this morning! Well at least its not raining.

I'm on a Teams meeting tonight - how to r-a-a-f or some such. Could be a struggle if I'm in the CA for that
GW magazine has arrived with the first two seed packets - it must be nearly spring
It's quite cold, so I'm off to the bed. I'm also little bit tired. Wish you all goodnight and see you tomorrow.
@Re@"Red maple" ,we're from the same era then👍
Signing off for now. Night all.
