Morning all. A chilly morning. I’m about to have some tea. LB I watched the final of the World Cup too. I know what you mean. Top bird glad mil feeling better. Hazel hope ironing board will be suitable and stable.
Good afternoon, pleased to hear that your MiL is feeling better, probably doing her good to have some company Topbird. We enjoyed the carol service yesterday afternoon, despite the bitter cold. Starting to feel more festive now. Such a contrast today with the temperatures, about 13 degrees C as opposed to -2 degrees yesterday and preceding days.
Evening all. I got to the Bank as it opened thid morning and got my business sorted out quickly. I was out less than an hour. As you described Red maple, it was incredibly mild after the last week - but it did rain! I am signing out for tonight. I've had a call up to help the Quiz team out again. I really hope I do better that last Monday or they may not even ask me again. Enjoy your evenings whatever you have planned and I'll see you tomorrow.
Cacoethes: An irresistible urge to do something inadvisable
I'm very sorry, I didn't read back, but it was quite long and busy day. At least it's last working Monday this year. Hope you all are well. We had beautiful sunny and calm day, but quite chilly. My neighbor came this afternoon with her granddaughter and ask if she can use my printer for homework. While granddaughter was printing, we had a nice chat. My mother and aunt will go to the theater next Thursday to watch Nutcracker. I'll drive them, then I'll have more then three hours to wonder in the city. I already haver rough plan, visit bookshop and Christmas fair, lunch in new Thai restaurant and few other things. I decided to enjoy this week before Christmas, and it will start tonight with hot beverage and Christmas movie.
Been a long day here too Ante. We’ve all been waiting around, like cats I hot bricks, for a phone call to say sons car is ready. Couldn’t settle to anything properly. OH took son out in our car mid afternoon for a browse around some shops and finally got call for the pick at 4.30pm. Then it took OH nearly 3/4 hr to get home due to heavy home-bound traffic. What a funny day.
Ante, you’re plans for spending the time waiting for your mum and aunt sound really nice. I hope you enjoy the meal and may get some little trinkets and so on from the Christmas fair.
LB enjoy the quiz- hope it’s better than last time for you🤗 I’m signing out too folks. See you later.
I Had a busy day sorting out our hall cupboard ,still a lot more to do .Red Maple I am pleased you enjoyed the Carol service .They do make you feel more festive. LB enjoy your quizzing. Hazel enjoy your evening .Some days are very strange ,often waiting around for a phone call can be frustrating .
Good morning all. Quiz was a little bit better than last week but we were still well beaten. This league quizzing is totally different to the pub quizzing I'm used to. There are team rounds where you can all discuss the questions and lots of individual rounds too on very unusual topics. Here are two of my individual questions and it will give you a flavour.
1. Which Northwest brewery produces the beers called Wobbly Bob and Arizona?
2. Which US state capital, despite having the smallest population is the largest?
Needless to say, I did not know those particular answers (though I had heard of Wobbly Bob before). I still enjoyed it though as I'm definitely a quizaholic but it was a late evening.

I've had a gardening day, lots of weeding, bit of pruning and mulching, about 5 hours work. Feeling rather stiff and achey.
