Morning all morning all. It's trying to snow here, that wasn't forecast. Was going to pop into town but will wait and see later on what's happening outside. It's lovely seeing small signs of life in the garden, I have finally found three tiddly shoots of the fritillaries popping up as we thought they were a goner when put up new arbor where they are. There was much trampling around etc. For those going out, wrap up warm, head down and think of Spring!
Morning all, very chilly here today but still dry for now. Been out, but back now and slowly thawing out. Yes, I’ve noticed green shoots popping up in various parts of the garden, which is always cheering.
Just read that Yorkshire is in for a very cold week up to minus 12C. Also we are due for heavy snow in Leeds and other parts of Yorkshire . At the moment it is cold and sunny .
I hope the weather forecast is wrong too Red M and Busy . We have been snowed in several times over the years . The snow came up to the door handles at the front of the house. We used the back door for several days but that was difficult too because the snow was very thick on the ground .
Fortunately the snow doesn’t drift up our back door .
Good afternoon all. I have to agree with all those who mentioned how cold it has been today (severe frost forecast for tonight here). I went into the garage as planned and very soon I had to go back into the house to get a coat and my leather gardening gloves. By lunch time I was chilled to the bone and came in to thaw out. Mid afternoon I went out again to finish collecting up all the emptied pots for washing (honestly my kitchen looks like a Bill and Ben back yard!) Still got a few more to wash and I'll be done. Ante I am not sure if you will know of Bill and Ben the Flowerpot men - you are too young! It was a cartoon for small people many years ago:
in my day I only saw it in black and white!

Busy the pheasant is beautiful . We have never had pheasants in the garden .We get the occasional Merlin and most days there are Red kites flying over the garden, that is a lovely sight. LB I loved Bill and Ben and particularly Weed.
Busy, I too got pheasants coming into the garden 4 or 5 in any one go. The male pheasant used to like standing on top of my shed showing off to his harem below. They were more interested in gleaning underneath the bird feeders and paid him no attention whatsoever.

Cold and grey here.
A rather gorgeous pheasant is wandering around the garden. There used to be lots but haven't seen one for over a year.
Lily's TV is on but I don't have a Lily!
Only planned excitement for the day is going to the pharmacy for OH's prescription.
The pheasant in the garden. Then 2 others arrived!
