Good morning @Ante1 and all to follow. Got some of my children here for lunch today and looking forward to fiancé having days off next week after a 7 day stint this week.
Roast lamb for a change can you tell I am trying to empty out my freezer?
work busy again yesterday but that seems to be the way of things these days at least I don’t get bored.

Good morning Ante, Debs and later arrivals. Today I have a lot of cacti to repot and then a marathon scrubbing of the emptied pots. I do love old terracotta! Lily fed and on my knee and I'm enjoying my cereals and tea.

    Good morning debs and LB.

Debs, enjoy having lunch with your children, and have a rest, after very busy week. Roast lamb sounds delicious.

LB, I also love terracotta, old and new. I don't have even one cacti to repot, but I might sow some chilly and peppers. Be careful with spiky ones.  😁

Debs, I meant to ask, how is your fiancé enjoying his new job? Is he beginning to settle in now? Roast lamb and mint sauce I hope! It has been years since I have eaten lamb. Enjoy your Sunday meal.
Ante, I will be very careful! I use strips of paper, looped around the spiky ones, to lift them out of the pots. Now is quite a good time to do it as they don't get watered until March so the compost is dry. Cacti are such easy plants to deal with.

@Ladybird4 thanks for asking he is loving it though looking forward to his days off. Lots to get organised and he needs to recruit staff which is difficult these days as there are not enough good chefs to go around. He has started already with “wedding tasters” so the happy couple can decide on the meal they want. I am hoping things settle soon and he can get into a good routine.
    Mind those cacti 🌵 today!

    Good morning,
for now, it is dry outside, and calmer too, after a very windy night.
A lazy day ahead I think. I made a start on my painting on Friday, so think I might do a bit more today. I need a good light, though, as the shades of grey in the picture are quite difficult to differentiate. It’s a painting by numbers, so a bit of a cheat, I suppose, but nevertheless, it’s very relaxing.
Other than that, I’ll prepare something to go in the slow cooker for dinner, perhaps a bolognese sauce.
Enjoy repotting your cacti, @Ladybird4, and, as @Ante, watch those prickles 😊.
Pleased your fiancé has enjoyed his first week in his new job, @debs64. I can imagine he is looking forward to his days off, though. Have a lovely day with your family.
Well, breakfast calls now I’ve had my first cuppa, so cheerio for the time being.

Morning. Another windy night here too @Red maple. Just been out in garden and it's bitterly cold, despite the sun shining.
We are going to pop to another couple of gc today for a browse and then I need to repot a shrub into new pot and put at front of house.
Hope you all have a good day. Keep warm.

    Morning all,

Late up as I was awake until stupid o'clock. Wild again overnight. I've emptied various receptacles of rainwater - a daily chore at the moment! Looking at the forecast, they may be frozen tomorrow :o
