Surprisingly, there are quite a few that I've never been in locally @Ladybird4. We were always quite set in our ways during our 'drinking days' with a regular circuit of the same haunts. I don't disagree as much as the 'expert' pundits or keyboard warriors on social media, especially if my team benefits from any so-called 'controversial decision'
Ironically, it was sunny and bright whilst I was in the pub - a small window of garden project time missed! At least I finally got someone to help me put the replacement fence panel in yesterday. I cut it to size and painted it about 6 weeks ago and was worried it may have swollen and/or warped during the freeze/deluge since then. Fits like a glove though
Oh well done Biglad. A very positive small step taken today. You must be pleased to be able to tick the fence panel off your 'to do' list. How is the border planning going?
Cacoethes: An irresistible urge to do something inadvisable
Good evening, Thank you, yes we had a lovely afternoon seeing my nephew and other family who were also at his house. It’s the first time we’ve seen him since before covid struck, so quite a long time.
Luckily, it stayed dry for our journey both there and back, but it has turned very wet in the hour since we got back, so I’m quite relieved that we missed the rain for travelling. Feet up time now and a spot of tv before bed.
That one has been bugging me @Ladybird4 - just wanted to be sure it fitted and went in (the distance between the posts was higher at the top than the bottom). Impossible to lift above the top of the posts on my own though
I'm keen to get the bigger, structural tasks sorted before the growing season commences. Looks like re-laying a few patio slabs has become a much bigger job, which is above my pay grade. Rebuilding the wall that retains the patio is probably going to have to be done by an expert. We need to get a side gate as well
I'm going to have to get some paid employment at this rate!
Be careful what you wish for Biglad. I remember all those long, long, jobs you had to do last year. I suppose if you have a project in mind you can grin and bear it though.
Glad you had a good day Red maple - and you missed that dratted rain.

I slept very well last night. Outside is grey and windy, but not too cold. Pets are all fed, and they are sleeping again, so it's my tea time. Plan for today is just relax and prepare for tomorrow.
