They weren't neighbours, LB. They were strangers who ring up and ask you to give your bank card details using some plausible persuasive reason. The neighbours have helped her.
Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.
LB, oh I thought they were turtle doves, definitely not pigeon( sorry, can't stand like them) and not collared doves( we do have them visiting the garden but they are much bigger. This is what is here, two of them, they were down in the garden today....
Mr Google says they are turtle doves. Hmmmmm....will have to investigate further.🤔
On our drive out today we got hit with the low sun,,flickering in between the trees and nearly blinding us.
Those are collared doves Hazel. Turtle doves are much smaller and they migrate. They are extremely rare and are on the endangered species list. This is a turtle dove

Sounds like a good afternoon having a thorough mooch round the GC, @Songbird-2 I'll probably do something similar this week but will try and avoid buying any more plants. Getting the ones I have in the ground should come first!
Good to know that plastic re-cycling is getting so innovative. A complete cessation of plastic production should be the ultimate step but will never happen, unfortunately.
I watched the Manchester derby in a pub that I'd never been in before. Thoroughly enjoyed the result but felt odd being in a pub on a Saturday afternoon. Spent my life running around muddy fields during daylight weekend hours
You're right LB. Have just looked again on line and there were two pictures together with the wording....turtle doves...underneath them. Upon looking further it states our ones are the collared ones. I did see the turtle dove too.I'm quite disappointed now..
@biglad, that's a nice change for you though, relaxing instead of flying about.
Just be glad Hazel. If they had been turtle doves you and your OH would have been inundated with hundreds of twitchers ( Ante means bird watchers who are obsessed about spotting rare birds and who will travel miles to see one) wanting to take loads of pictures.
@Biglad - a pub you have never been in???? Don't tell me you have been booted out of all the others? Only joking. Do you find that you disagree with some of the decisions being made when you watch big matches?

LB I also found a single snowdrop. Rainy day today. Pottering in the fternoon. Light tea, Lilys tv sorted and relaxing on the bed with my furry friend. Hazel I have a jumper made from recycled bottles but I hand wash in. Cool water. Debs enjoy your wine and relax this eeekrnd. Ante hope you and yours are all okay. Biglad I hope your not nodding off in your chair tonight.
Evening Rosie. I too have a fleece I wear when I work in the garden that is made out of recycled plastic bottles and several of my shopping bags from 'sco are also made from them. Very clever technology and I have to say that the fleece is beautifully warm, soft and snuggly. I am not even thinking about Lily's TV at the moment, just looking forward to a dry day!
