Good morning Busy. Thank you for the explanation. Still seems ridiculous that they can pick up in one place yet not deliver those passengers back to where their cars are parked. Hope your OH is not suffering any after effects. Dreadful here too!

Good morning everyone. Ante sorry to read that the weather is stopping you from going to your cottage . The weather is horrid here . We still have high wind and rain lashing at the windows. LB I love the pic ,very apt .A cup of tea and your new book when it arrives, enjoy .
Morning all.A calm morning here but a bit cold. No rain on the horizon so we are dashing out to a gc which is a little out of the way so will try and get there and back before the weather changes. I've spotted three more snowdrops coming through, in a different spot to the others. I'd forgotten I'd planted them there so it was a nice surprise to see them. Yours are a way ahead of ours LB. Debs, hope work isn't too instense for you today. I bought a new jumper in *esc* the other day, ( in the sale) it's that chenille type 'wool', so very soft but the label says it's made 100%from recycled bottles! Fantastic what they can do with bottles........😲
Morning all, It’s been wet but at the moment the sun is trying to break through. I hope it succeeds as we are travelling to my nephews house this afternoon for a few hours and it’s never fun travelling in heavy rain, is it?
A shame you can’t get to your cottage today @Ante1. Perhaps tomorrow might be better. I hope that your OH is alright today Busy, and that the extra traipse to your parked car didn’t affect him too much. It does seem ridiculous that they don’t drop off where they pick up. Doesn’t seem to make much sense. Well, I’d better get on. I hope you all have a good day.
Glad to hear your OH isn't suffering any nasty after effects of yesterday @Busy-Lizzie.
We've been to the garden centre and had a lovely time. We browsed around for ages, just having a good look at all the perennials, shrubs, pots, planters, winter plants, climbers, alpines and so on and so forth. We came away with some mpc, a lovely new square pot with feet, a Veronica Inspire Blue, a salvia( can't remember name just now) and some pea gravel. OH has been watching the snooker this afternoon whilst I've spent about two hours in the garden. Noticed some chives have started coming up, I planted out the Veronica and sorted out the planter it was going into and then tidied up the shady border and turned the soil. Noticed all sorts of bits of plants coming through, was so nice. Two turtle doves visited whilst I was busy and were very dexterous getting on to the bird feeding table house. Red Maple, hope you've had/are having a nice time with your nephew. Nice to go visiting family members and to have a catch up.
I was at my cottage after all. Around 10am sun came out, and I rushed up to the hills. It was cold, but I managed to assemble one raised bed and fill it with soil and manure. I'm going to rest a bit before dinner, my leg hurts after first proper work in last two months.
That sounds a lovely day @Songbird-2. That Veronica is beautiful.
I went for a short walk when I thought the rain had stopped but it drizzled. Came back with wet hair.
Our sweet elderly lady NDN, the one who fell, has been the victim of a bank card scam. She asked if we could get her some cat food yesterday then said she couldn't pay us back. OH popped over to see her this morning, it's being sorted and her pension has come in but the nurse told her not to drive. OH went out and bought her some food. She said other neighbours took her meals after she fell. People who trick the elderly like that make me very angry. It happened to OH's late aunt some years ago.
Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.
Red maple, I hope that you managed to get that trip to your nephew's in without hitting heavy rain. I really really hate driving in heavy rain and I also hate driving when the wnter sun is so low in the sky - too dazzling.
Hazel you have got a nice selection of plants there. The birds you saw on your bird table will not have been turtle doves as they are extremely unlikely to migrate back to this country until late April/early May. The few that do make it to the UK will not get as far north as us. I suspect that they will have been either collared doves or wood pigeons.
Busy, that is absolutely disgusting to think of your NDN and her misfortune being exploited by so called 'neighbours'. I sometimes wonder what the world is coming to.
