Busy what frustrating news I do hope they can reschedule without a long wait and they get on top of the backlog. Hazel it was biscuits, chocolate chip before bed tonight. Sleep well. LB watched a few episodes of J K Rowling Strike, brilliant series, thoroughly enjoyed it. Night night all.
@Songbird-2 - I find BG very difficult and frustrating to deal with full stop.
When they transferred us over to their brand new 'super-duper' online account they also messed up our direct debit which wasn't taken in November. That also affects how the energy rebate is paid. Couldn't get through to speak to anybody and ended up having one of those online chats. At least I have a transcript of it just in case. Things seem to be right for December so fingers crossed it's sorted.
Re Tricky-Vicky. The theme of OC last night was love so she was dressed as a heart. She had sparkly transfers on her face but I did comment that she looked like she'd been in a fight! Does that explain what you saw?
Off to bed now. Might go out for a picnic tomorrow if the weather's a whole lot nicer than it was today - cold, wet and windy. Night night.
Heaven is ... sitting in the garden with a G&T and a cat while watching the sun go down
Yes, Hazel, I was just about to confirm what T'Bird has already said about VCM - it was sparkly splodges on her face. I do wish that she would leave 'being funny' to her OH. She, in my opinion, is anything but!
Rosie, how nice to have Alfie lying contented next to you. Lily is doing something similar here. Yes, I do enjoy 'Strike' - was disappointed that there were only 3 episodes this time.
Well, Bestie and I are working at the Food Bank today. I wonder how busy we will be. I better get a wriggle on. Wish it wasn't raining!
Cacoethes: An irresistible urge to do something inadvisable
Morning all. Once again LB your second picture made me smile/laugh out loud, the expression is perfect. Thanks and thanks Topbird, for explanation re VCM face. I thought she had been in a fight or had fallen over 🤭 Hope the food bank is okay today LB and wouldn't it be nice if not too many people needed it? We are popping to SM so will put some food items into their food bank box. Wouldn't think we lived in the 21st century. Rosie, you and Alfie are/were in the right place when you posted earlier. Nice and warm, best place to be when it's cold. Rubee, we had strong winds last night but they seem to have calmed down a bit now. Hopefully yours will pass over soon.
Well all my Christmas decorations are now packed away and I am enjoying the emptiness of shelves etc before I replace all my usual ornaments. Too early for many I know but I don’t like Christmas to go on into the new year at all.
Got youngest son here later for meatballs and pasta in a spicy tomato sauce. Last of turkey for lunch
Afternoon all. LB hope all goes well at the food bank. Hazel strong winds here now. Put the bin out for an earlier collection. It seems to be getting heavier. Debs I like the decorations down New Years Day. Had a walk with dad, groomed Alfie and sorted his food and water bowls and gave him his treats, brushed the sofa for any signs of fur.
Afternoon everyone, Not long back from a run out to Fountains Abbey in North Yorkshire. The weather was a mix of sunshine and showers, with a stiff breeze, but not enough rain to drench us, so enjoyed the outing. It blew a few cobwebs away. Our plan was then to have lunch in Ripon, but the only parking space we found had a limit of 1 hour, so we decided to head for home and have a fish n chip supper later instead, so that I won’t be doing any cooking. Hope you’ve all had a good day so far.
