Morning all. Sorry to hear you have rain again LB - it's a bright & sunny day here. OH is going flying later this morning and I need to do a SM run before settling down with some lovely old will transcriptions this afternoon.
Rosie - I do hope you feel better soon. Sounds as though you have the lurgy which is doing the rounds. Lovely that M&D are just round the corner and can take care of you.
Heaven is ... sitting in the garden with a G&T and a cat while watching the sun go down
Rosie sorry to hear you are poorly lots of fluids and rest. This is a nasty cold that’s doing the rounds. Please try to eat, I always lose my appetite when I have a cold and have to force myself to eat and I think it slows down my recovery. Take care
Hello 👋 I hope you won’t mind me making an appearance after my abrupt departure last Summer, I just wanted to pop my head in and wish a Happy New Year to you all. I’m very behind on all that has happened and I apologise for missing all those important events, sorry to hear Rosie is feeling unwell I hope she gets better soon 💐
My best wishes to everyone for 2023 kind regards Chive x 💕
Morning all. Cold here this morning but I can see the sun is trying to show it's face. I'm looking forward to going to the g/c for a browse around. We received the most odd letter over the weekend. Our local McColls newsagent is shutting down this month and this letter was from somewhere down South, called News Team Group in Stoke on Trent who said they were taking over the paper round and our paper delivery ,on one day a week, would continue. They then went on to describe how they would like to be paid,( preferably direct debit) and alternative ways of method of payment . No way.The account has been cancelled forthwith and we shall just go and get them ourselves. No explanation of who actually would be delivering the papers or what to do in the event of non delivery. Who are they? How will we know who is actually delivering the papers? Most odd. Debs, hope you had an lovely chilling day, enjoy. Rubee, I do hope Rosie will soon get over this nasty bug but good to hear she is staying with you( 23 would call it having a sleepover😀). No place like home.
Good morning all. A lovely looking day outside with blue sky and sunshine. Feels cooler though, but preferable to the damp, grey days of late. I hope Rosie feels better soon, @Rubee.
@debs64, your plan for the day sounds good, hope you enjoy it. Hello, @Chivetalking. Happy New Year to you. A very odd letter indeed, @Songbird-2. I would have thought that the existing owner of the shop would have let you know about the new ownership first. I think you’re wise to collect the paper, at least for now until you find out just what is going on.
Hi @Chivetalking, how wonderful to see you again. A very Happy New Year to you and your family .Hope you are enjoying the " rest" from school. Our children, here, return on Thursday so onwards and upwards we go, onto another year🥳🥳
It is so nice that you popped in today. Its always nice to see our friends. Have a Happy New Year.
Hazel. I did an internet search on the company who said they were taking over your newspaper deliveries. You made the right decision in rejecting them. The negative reports about them on Trustpilot make interesting reading.
Cacoethes: An irresistible urge to do something inadvisable
I'm so happy to see you Chive, and Happy New Year. I think that we are all glad to know you are well.
I spent few hours in the garden, but rain forced me to go in. All spring bulbs are popping out, but major job is to clear all leaves and branches. One good sign is that my new water lily have two small, fresh leaves. Now is time for cup of tea.
Chive it is good to see you. I wish you all the best for 2023 . Alfie is at home and we are going round regularly to see him.I have spent half an hour in the garden but it was so cold I had to come in.My garden is tiny as you know . I seem to get more than my share of leaves drop in .
