Well done you @D0rdogne_Damsel, everybody looks very happy and good news about the Bank appointment tomorrow. Good luck!

Cupcakes look absolutely gorgeous, if you had any left-overs, they'd be very welcome here!

Just had a huge (for us) SM delivery and fridge/freezer is absolutely stuffed now. I really could do with another chest freezer in the garage for high days and holidays but OH isn't keen.

  • Great pictures @D0rdogne_Damsel .
Lots of hard work,  your energy is amazing.

Nearly forgot  happy solstice everyone. In a few days the daylight begins to stretch again.

  • Good morning all 😊 ☕️
I wonder if it’s too early to send my son a happy birthday text? 🤔

Looks like we’ve both been baking @D0rdogne_Damsel … our mince pies look very similar 😊

and instead of a Christmas cake I made a Dundee cake (marginally better for our teeth 😉) … I’ll take a picture of that when I get up …
Good luck with the bank manager 🤞

    Morning all.

My mince pies looked like that too, star on top. Can't take a photo as OH has eaten them all. How can he eat 2 doz mince pies and a box of marron glacés and not put on weight? Glad I don't like marron glacés.

Will be a quiet HW day. Forecast is rain. Tomorrow will be busy, cooking, packing, loading the car.

    Morning,
my, those mince pies look very tasty, @Dovefromabove. Can we join you for a cuppa and tasting? 😅 Like you, I made a Dundee cake (last week) for Christmas and have been generously feeding it with whiskey (well, Delia says that’s what you have to do, so I won’t argue 😂). You’ve tempted me to make some mince pies myself now. The diet and cholesterol control will begin in earnest after said festival!
A fairly quiet day here, too. It looks like we are going to have some rain any time soon.

Ohh! Forkers! what gorgeous foods you have prepared. Any leftovers can be sent to me. Last night we watched a Karin Polwart live-stream from Scotland which was lovely. Good way to spend solstice night .
Weather today is windy and fairly warm for December. Short appearances of sun also welcome.
    Take care

Please everyone,  keep posting your festive feasts. I can't swallow raisins,  sultanas,  currants or nuts, (amongst other things) so virtual ones only for my Christmas feast.

And chocolate makes my throat sore.
