  • Good morning all 😊 ☕️  🤶🏻
Have a marvellous time @punkdoc … relax and enjoy 🎄
Glad son enjoyed his presents @Pat E 😊
Thinking of you and yours @AnnaB … what about the horses etc?  Have they got access to water or do you have to get it to them?
OH has managed to avoid being called in to work today … he’s just set off to Wrose in the village to get some yoghurt and bits that the farm shop didn’t have … then he’ll help get the bedrooms ready and I’ll make bread, prep the veg and wash the kitchen floor 😱

    Good morning all.

Clement weather for this Christmas Eve.  Preparations abound, lots of food and board games have already started!

    Enjoy your Christmas Eve everyone.

Popping into town in a bit to pick up the veg. we ordered for Boxing Day and a tree present for my daughter.  Tree pressies are a long-standing family tradition - silly things put on the tree which it gifts us after lunch on Boxing Day.  Then - more wrapping and a start on the Boxing Day pudding I'm making for Boxing Day tea.  It involves gelatine leaves - wish me luck!  (Tomorrow is at my daughters so we just take the Christmas pud, the sprouts with chestnuts and the cranberry sauce).

Have a good one folks - see you on the other side!

Hello and Good morning to one and all on this Christmas Eve.

Went early to the shops to buy last minute things and now I am taking a break between preparations. This year it is all vegan (can't be bothered to do two things) so wish me luck, especially with the veggie Wellington which I never made before, not even the meat one.
Weather is really dull and rain is expected all weekend. I think that in 29 years living here I have seen the sun at Christmas just once. Some years it has snowed but nowadays it is just grey.

    Be calm, be happy.

    Happy Christmas Eve!! 🎄

I’ve finished the wrapping so I’ll be doing a present drop-off sister’s home later. Little niece is allowed to open one or two of her gifts from us on Christmas Eve as we won’t see her tomorrow plus I expect she will have plenty more.

I hope everyone keeps safe and well over the festive days, and beyond 🎅🏼

Good morning and a happy Christmas Eve to you all.
Have a lovely break @punkdoc, I hope the sun shines.
Just been doing some food preparations ready for tomorrow and now it’s coffee break time.
We have some lovely sunshine today, a very welcome change from the wet, grey days yesterday and Thursday.

Seasons greetings! Bit of a panicky start to the day - got up after a lie-in to a cold house. Heating hadn't started then realised we had no lights. There must have been a power surge during the night which kicked in the RCD protecting the main power and lighting circuits. The freezers and fridge are on a separate unprotected circuit and thankfully were still working. Reset the RCD and we got power back but there was another blip in supply about an hour later. Fingers crossed we don't get any worse problems.
