We’ve been for a drive around the property to see if those winds that’ve been here for three days. Well, we found one down near the front dam. So we hadn’t needed to drive all over the place, after all. 🙄
Bright autumn morning after some rain over the past few days. Wasn't much, but it was welcome. Conservatory windows need a clean and I haven't a good excuse not to do them.
Nice photos @Pat E Summer is on its way. Just you wait!! @Lizzie27 My mum would have been 100 on Sunday 27th. I haven't sown any broad beans either!! @didyw I hope the new boiler is now up and working. @punkdoc Yes, Dr Feelgood. That's going back a bit. Hope the cavity is healing. @D0rdogne_Damsel Onwards and upwards - keep looking ahead, don't look down!
Today's saying is brief and to the point: A Sainte Flora Plus rien ne fleurira.
i hope you all have a pleasant day and those with aches and pains, bangs and cramps are feeling up to it! Tui
A fairly brightish morning here … but apparently that’s going to change …
That'll keep you warm next winter @Pat E … will you be able to get it hauled up nearer the house to log it, or will it be cut up where it is and then the logs taken to the house?
Gardening in Central Norfolk on improved gritty moraine over chalk ... free-draining.
It’ll be left for a couple of years Dove before it’ll be dry enough. Besides there is plenty out the back which has been laying there for years. 🙄. Interesting times though.
We’re ok @Pat E … just trying not to use any more power or heat than necessary. For those on a tighter budget and/or with health concerns it’s worrying. 😞

So irritating, I was expecting a delivery this morning and followed it on their tracking map. It got to the local town 5 mins away then disappeared and I had an email to say he couldn't find me. First time a delivery has failed and it is a company that is run by the Post Office so he should have known. Didn't even try to ring me.
Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.
How frustrating @Busy-Lizzie! I like tracking the little vans too - they seem to take such a long time from when I first spot them to when they get to me. But they do arrive, unlike yours
Lots of people are devastated by Wilko Collins death but I have to admit Dr. Feelgood passed me by. I did like punk though - and so did my prog rock drummer husband.
New boiler in and we are warm! Hurrah! But poor plumber had his jabs yesterday (he disappeared for half an hour in the middle of the day to do it) and reported having a terrible night when he came to finish off this morning. Hardly any sleep, couldn't move his neck and thought his toes were going to drop off they were so painful. He's cancelled his jobs for the rest of the day and has gone home for a lie down. We were lucky he prioritised us.

not that we are complaining though.
