Your too critical of yourself @Wrigs21.... I'm not technically capable,... So I'm really impressed or easily pleased but as a gardener and not a computer person, it gives a really nice reflection of the passing seasons 👍😀
Evening, pleased to say I got the rose planted and 30 of the Tete a Tete daffs planted - all before lunch! Fairly shattered after so haven't done much since bar the washing. I've still got 15 bulbs left over so planning to plant those in two blue pots on the back garden terrace steps and the remainder in small pots for filling in gaps in the Spring.
It's noisy here tonight, the house opposite is having a firework party and it sounds that the Uni west of here is doing the same.
I couldn't get the link to work but am not on Instagram so that might be why.
Did anyone watch the reconstruction of the Welsh cave rescue - what a tremendous effort by all concerned, that man was really, really lucky. It did bring back horrible memories for me though as we once took my son on a caving 'experience' at Cheddar, for a 11th birthday treat. I didn't much want to go but his mate had dropped out. We were all complete beginners. It went reasonably well until the group came to the 'rabbit hole'. We had a choice as to whether to retrace our steps or go through. They voted to go through, OMG. You had to lie in the mud, head first, arms down by your side and try to inch your way through. I knocked my helmet on the roof so the light went out. Complete and utter blackness. I got halfway then thought I can't do this but had no choice, you couldn't go backwards. I cried when I got to the end. I was so, so relieved to make it. It's given me claustrophobia ever since.
Glad you're having good weather @Hostafan1, we all know how you hate the cold.
Had lunch yesterday with Charlie and his 'not' girlfriend and her mum. They are both lovely and are complete lovers of everything English and speak perfect English too. Amelie, Charlie's friend has an accent straight out of Downton Abbey, she has watched every episode several times over she said. A very smart girl too, she wants to study journalism and political science, in an English university of course. She already managed to get herself some work experience on a Parisian radio station and was very proud to have been allowed to read her own article live on air.
Charlie is meeting her today in Limoges to go shopping and study. But of course, she is not his girlfriend.
A little bit of news on the new restaurant project. The one that is up for rental, I asked if I could buy it and he said yes..... however, it comes with four apartments above it and I really don't want to become a landlord as well so I am back to re-thinking it. Really lovely building though and very nicely kitted out.
Anyway, back to cake making today, Cupcakes today for the week-end, the children always love them.
Have a good day all.

Good morning everyone, grey and damp start here. The garden is beginning to shut down at last though there's still a fair bit of colour here and there. @D0rdogne_Damsel I do admire your drive and energy I don't know how you fit it all in . Not sure what I will do today it very much depends on how wet it stays.
Back from a brisk walk down to the post box to catch the Saturday post ... just beginning to feel drizzly out there. Now for some muesli and yoghurt ...
Gardening in Central Norfolk on improved gritty moraine over chalk ... free-draining.
Grey outside but forecast says there will be sun. If there is then I will go outside and plant daffodils.
I must finish painting my bedroom, just a bit of wall left to do and the door. Didn't do it before as I was waiting for the electrician to remove some boxes off the wall to do with the ancient phone and burglar alarm. Then there is the landing to paint. Just can't get motivated at the moment. I think I'm feeling a bit like a hedgehog going into hibernation mode!
Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.
The link didn't work for me @Wrigs21 Bulb planting is always harder work than you think it's going to be isn't it @Lizzie27? Not doing any this year; will wait and see how the tulips perform in their 3rd year and there are already more than enough daffs in the garden. I usually plant some reticulatas etc in pots but the pots are still full of their summer plants which, due to this mild weather, are still flowering!
It might be worth considering the premises with apartments @D0rdogne_Damsel - the income could be useful. Or you could offer B&B... Extra work of course, but if anyone can take that on, you can!
Last few stallholders to confirm for the Christmas Market and then I can get on with designing the posters to publicise it - that's the fun bit.
@Wrigs21 love that reel - very clever to see views from exactly the same spot each time. So good to have reminders of how things change. In the early spring when I’ve done all my cutting back and mulched everywhere, I look at the expanse of “mud” and find it hard to believe it will soon be full of colour with not a scrap of “mud” to be seen. How did you do it? Did you leave a camera in the same position all year? (NB to others: You need an Instagram account to view it - worth creating an account. There is so much gorgeous gardening stuff on there.)
Interested to read about your photo album @Busy-Lizzie. You have inspired me to do the same - one for each of our 2022 trips. Will make a nice pressie for Mr C.
Now that England have won the cricket I suppose I had better get myself up, dressed amd on with my day 😊

I didn't sleep well last night!
Hope @punkdoc and others with pains and aches wake refreshed and improved in the morning 😊
