  • Good morning all 😊 ☕️
A misty moisty November morning here in Norfolk… the two oak trees on the rise are at last beginning to glow golden.

    Good morning all.

It's moist and misty too in Dordogne @Dovefromabove.

I'm going to a gardening club meeting today. There will be a talk about tulips then a bring and share lunch. I'll bring Coronation Chicken salad.
Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.
  • One of my OH’s favourites @Busy-Lizzie … he’ll get his bike 😉

  • Good morning everyone,  grey but at least it's dry. Eye clinic today so catch up later.

A misty moisty morning in Luxembourg too. Although I dislike the damp I do enjoy the morning surprises in the garden. OH mounting new Ikea bed in guests' room, so will be in grumpy mood at least until lunchtime 😁. Promised him a risotto.
Have a good day all and take care.

  • Rice here today too @coccinella ... but it'll be a seafood paella for us.  😋

Morning all, damp and grey here but mild. Went for my usual walk earlier and having a coffee now while I decide what to do next. We enjoyed DIL's visit very much, it was lovely to see her again but, my, she leads a very hectic life, as does my son and the children seemingly. Thought nothing of driving 6 hours to Liverpool with her daughter to see the Athletics last Sat, went shopping and stayed o/n at a hotel for a treat, then drove another 6 hours home. Makes me feel tired just to think about it! She's a bit like DD, never stops still for a minute.

I might try digging up the buddleia stump later as it would be a good spot for yet another rose I bought. I've also got tulip and hyacinth bulbs coming, RHS have a 50% sale on for those who are still thinking about tulip planting.

Hope the eye clinic appointment goes well @Allotment Boy and that you enjoy the garden club lunch @Busy-Lizzie.

    Hi all
Not posted much this week, been too grumpy with by mouth pain. It is slowly improving, but it is very slow.
Started clearing leaves this morning. It is lovely having 4 ancient Beech trees in the garden, but a huge amount of work to clear up the leaves.
How can you lie there and think of England

Only 4? I've got 10 on one side of the garden and a forest full on the other! They are about halfway bald at the moment but there is still a strong hint of green on the remaining leaves.
  • Good afternoon,  eye clinic was fine , easy one this time just a scan and pressure check,  still over 2hours though.  Came home via Allotments,  picked more rocket and some ripe pears from storage.  Sorted through the last 1/2 sack of Charlotte spuds.
It's been so mild they are sprouting already. Probably need to go through rest of storage before too long I'm sure they are all doing the same.
