Nowadays on my present plots no one takes any notice, quite sad.
I don't go to church or attend the remembrance parades or watch it on TV, so often don't particularly mark the two minutes silence because I tend not to be watching the time at the weekend. Doesn't mean I don't think about it or that I don't care - I just don't join in with formal ceremonies (of any kind) on the whole and especially avoid ones that are dominated by religion, as the remembrance events are. The core of it - thankfulness for those who gave their lives for my freedom - is not entwined with God or faith for me

I feel the same @raisingirl, don't wear a watch when I'm home so have only a rough idea of the time. I wondered just this morning if, when our generation has passed on, whether people will still observe or even think about Remembrance Day.
It has been another glorious day with the weather forecaster showing 23.7C by lunchtime (in the sunshine). Busy in the garden with just a lightweight jumper on and jeans. We've erected two metal trellis panels by the side of a climbing rose for more support in high winds. Time will tell if they do the job. OH mowed the lawn.
Had a telephone chat with my daughter who's again struggling with depression and overworking so I've arranged to go down next week for a couple of days. I'll take my gardening gear and tidy up her garden whilst I'm there.
Chicken dinner roasting away here. In the spirit of being energy efficient, I am baking a load of chopped apples whilst the oven is on. Some for apple sauce and the rest to have with ice cream for pud 😋
Lovely day here, although the washing didn’t quite dry.
Good morning all 😊 ☕️ Another foggy morning here, but the forecast is for a fine day so we’re thinking we might head up to the north Norfolk coast and have a walk on the beach. It’s a while since we’ve been up there.
We had a visit from my son yesterday so I was able to give him another warm woolly sweater … he’s very happy with it. 😊

Good morning, no sun here yet, I hope this fog burns off quicker today than yesterday. Rain forecast for tomorrow and Wednesday, so not very encouraging.
Bother, it's raining, four hours earlier than forecast said. Change of plan. No gardening, which my knee will be very glad of. Forecast has rain for the foreseeable.
Must take the bins to the big village bin and the glass bin. No, not all wine bottles, some coffee jars and orange juice
Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.

We're having our usual roast lamb followed (hopefully) by some of OH's Black Magic chocolates. He's keeping the chocolate truffles to himself.
I feel quite tired now in a pleasant kind of way, must have done a good few hours in the garden today. Pink Pino going down a treat.

Thick fog here, one of those rather spooky autumn days.
